How guly starts is beyond me, average in league 1, anonymous in championship, out of his depth this season...it was like we played with 10 men. Not just guly but entire team was poor today and disappointing team selection. If we win at west ham and beat Liverpool then perhaps forgiven.

Really.... Been to enough games to know guly ain't up to it...best game if the season you say, so an improved performance, you blind or something.. Guly was average in league 1, not great in the championship and not likely to cut it in the prem.

Very poor again today. West Ham must have been rubbing their hands with glee when the team sheet came out and they saw that Saints would be starting the match with 10 players......what does Guly bring to the team, can anyone truly say? He was out of his depth in the Championship. West Ham did not look that great and I think we have gone downhill since last season.

Great 2nd half performance and a few things stood out for me. 1. Ramirez was absolute quality, retained the ball well and played some wonderful through balls. We haven not had a player who could do this for years. He looked strong too and linked well wth lambert and lallana. 2. Yoshida at the back looked very calm. when clearing the ball he always looked for an out ball rather than just hoofing it clear. 3. Richardson, although rusty at times added some cutting edge and looks better defensively than fox. 4.I thought clyne was better on the left than the right. I thought Villa were pretty average but they have a young team and will be up and down.

Could we possibly play the wigan way? with perhaps 3 centre halfs and two attacking full backs? Thought fox was all over the place today and most of our issues came down his side,

I would like to see us go more direct tomorrow. Angle balls into the box for lambert to attack and get players in the area to reach any knock downs.. what really annoys be about recent man ure games at st marys is saints fans swarming round the united warm up before kick off....if you want to see them that closely then bugger off and support them!
