  1. I know a few German guys who don't think he has a future as a left-back, which is likely where we'd want him to play the majority of the time.
  2. Doesn't seem like he did too much over in Germany but I'd be more than happy with that as a loan move with a view to permanent, similar to KWP. This article may make it seem a little less likely though. https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2021/07/30/ryan-sessegnon-nuno-wolves-tottenham-hotspur/
  3. These random Cardiff City commentators know more about us than a lot of the Sky/BT ones we get. Adams - Long Redmond - Tella Romeu - Diallo Djenepo - Bednarek - Stephens - KWP Forster Team at the 60th.
  4. 1-0. Walcott. Nice ball in from Obafemi after pressing a mistake. Solid finish as well to be fair.
  5. Not really got any control of the midfield which isn't surprising without Armstrong and JWP involved. Salisu comfortably our best player so far, and has had a few moments of screaming at the rest of the team for a lack of options. Zero attacking threat from either winger and Ings/Obafemi pretty much uninvolved, as of 30 minutes.
  6. I know it's depressing but I can't look past this either. I want to believe in the Blackmore comments that he "wouldn't even go to Spurs", but why wouldn't he? If we're sat here struggling to spend anything then I can't see him wanting to waste his final years.
  7. Friendly against Levante on 4th August, think it's at St Mary's.
  8. It's one of those ones where it'd be perfect for us, but I'm not sure being first reserve at RB/LB and 4th choice CM (his preferred position) is too appealing for him.
  9. At least have a read before chatting shite. He won their academy player of the year and they can't get him to sign a contract because he wants football.
  10. Disappointing if we miss out on Livramento. Would like to think we’re offering a similar package first-team football wise, so that’s a pretty depressing loss.
  11. Lookman on loan with an option if he impresses makes way too much sense for us.
  12. Do you not think that in the situation where he stays without signing a deal, he needs to play at his highest level to secure the best free transfer? There could definitely be an element where he's terrified to get injured, but you'd assume he'll be doing everything he can to impress.
  13. Livramento is incredibly highly rated over there, so that’s one I’d love to see us land. I completely agree as well, seeing as we haven’t produced a good player in about a decade. It’d definitely be nice to start trying to poach ones from the bigger clubs who can’t offer what we can. Lamptey should be a good example to some players that it’s worth the gamble.
  14. Surely we can afford to spend £20-30m a Summer without sales right, just through being in the Premier League? I’m sure we’ve taken a bit of a hit this year through lack of ticket sales, but we’ve already brought in £6-7m and lost about 150k+ on the wage bill (not including the addition of Theo & Perraud which you’d imagine to be around half of that). I struggle to believe that any Premier League team has to break even on transfers every season. 20/21: -£10m 19/20: -£28m 18/19: -£33m This is all under Gao who is about as “self sufficient” as you can be. I don’t think we need to sell Vestergaard and Ings this Summer at all. I don’t think anybody would be gutted to see Vestergaard go for £15-20m but I still can’t see an argument for us being better off by getting an average fee for Ings this Summer.
  15. Glad we're staying way clear of Demarai Redmond.
  16. Because I doubt he’s actually said that. And I also doubt that City are interested.
  17. I'd like it not to be true but do you really think it isn't? He's obviously going to go to Spurs if they want him, no idea why Blackmore said it.
  18. All going to be really embarrassing when he goes to Spurs for £15m. Thought he had no interest in going to a team like Spurs, Blackmore?
  19. Speak for yourself on that one!
  20. This could be interesting.
  21. Would've preferred Spain but thought Italy were pretty poor on the night as well. I'd like to think Bonucci hasn't enjoyed 330 minutes in the past two weeks, as well as Chiellini with 210 in the past 5 days. They also lost a large amount of their threat with Spinnazola's absence. I've been crying out for Grealish over Mount all tournament but Italy would be the exact game we need him to press the way which Spain did tonight. I think we score a few of the chances they fluffed this evening. All on a massive hypothetical that we beat Denmark tomorrow however, but I do believe in this England team for the first time. They're a decent team but I don't think they have the firepower to cause our defence too much issue, despite the 10 goals in their past three (against three drab sides). Like the look of a Mount/Vestergaard booking double at 33/1. England to win 2-0.
  22. I personally think we need another striker even if Ings stays. Plus there's the added benefit that Armstrong can play either of the wide positions as well, which covers for Minamino's departing minutes also. In an ideal world it'd be Armstrong and someone like Edouard if Ings were to leave, but I think I'm forgetting who I support for a moment.
  23. Where did you see this? There were rumours early on that their expected fee isn't high as you'd think. I'd be delighted if we somehow managed to pull off a summer of Perraud, Williams (loan), CB (if Vestergaard goes), Pereira, Armstrong and ST (if Ings goes).
  24. I really hope this is true. But I can't help than feel if West Ham/Everton come in close to the deadline then he'll go.
  25. I'd be disappointed with us taking £20m and actively flirting with relegation even more so than we have before.
