How are we in a position to be claiming that a winger averaging better than 1 in 2 isn't that good, bloody hell. The club have clearly pushed the idea of Promes into the media and with fan relationship already at a low, I'd be surprised if they'd do that knowing we're not going to be able to get him/someone on a similar level.

Even 4 points would be a disaster, if we don't win both he should go. Like he should've done weeks ago. Disgraceful manager and this list is only looking worse each week. Would've probably been better for us to get battered by Tottenham instead of the point buying him the Brighton and West Brom games, hope I'm wrong.

I feel like there's a difference between a signing on that level and a signing like Promes which would be our record fee by a mile though, can't see why he'd want to join an (already poor) team where he didn't even know who the manager was.

Would we be able to sign Promes without a manager? Surely there's absolutely no way that Pellegrino stays if we get battered tomorrow at home whilst in the relegation zone.

Boufal - Dembele - Walcott would be such an exciting looking attack but I have no idea what Walcott's preference are these days, maybe a case where he only moves to a team guaranteeing him #9.

Why would Mkhitaryan step down from Champions League on £200k to a lower mid-table club on around £70k. Dembele and Walcott in with van Dijk and Long out would be good though. Agree that we should shift Tadic in the Summer though, one of the least productive #10s I've ever seen.

Hope he tries Austin and Gabbiadini together at some point during this pre-season. Pretty sure he played on the right quite often at Napoli so a three behind Austin of Gabbiadini - Boufal - Redmond sounds pretty fun.

I like Stephens and I like Yoshida, they both did a job for us at the end of the season but I don't think anyone should want Yoshida starting. Stephens at a massive push but ideally we should be signing somebody like Sakho or Wimmer to go next to VVD.

Nothing against Puel himself, but this was the first Saints season of my lifetime that I missed games and wasn't particularly bothered occasionally whilst watching them. Excited to see if we manage to get Tuchel but he'll probably end up at Monaco now.

Would we be happy to sell van Dijk for £60m if it meant we were able to throw a bit more money about to get Tuchel in to replace Puel? Optimistic thinking.

Perfect situation seems to be getting Semedo in to play for a year alongside van Dijk before he gets his big move. Then repeat.
