Priorities for me are fullback (left sided, preferably someone who can play both lb/rb) and a striker who is going to contribute 10 or more goals. CB and no 10 are still worries even though we've improved a bit - particularly CB going into another season with Bednarek and Stephens anywhere near the 1st team.

I'd be really interested in knowing how many players is this from? Not that I'm saying this isn't true, but it's very easy to take opinions from a handful of people and draw the wrong conclusion - especially those who are already disgruntled or of an entitled disposition.
-
Perhaps a number of footballers are just utter bellends with big egos who need taking down a peg or two - just a thought...
-
But based on the claims that football manager is used as a scouting tool MLG should be able to give us an opinion.... MLG over to you - is he good or not?
-
When was he last "good"? The last 6 months with us he was pretty poor and hasn't exactly set the world on fire with villa
-
In my opinion, if he can distribute the ball and think a bit more quickly then he will be a significant upgrade and much better suited to our way of playing. Hopefully people will give him a bit of time and see him play before completely writing him off, but that wouldn't be very saintsweb would it?

Is Salisu overrated and is Bednarek unfairly blamed?
StrangelyBrown replied to SaintJackoInHurworth's topic in The Saints
I'm never really sure at what bednarek is really good at - he's not particularly physical (for a CB), he's not great with the ball, not great at reading the game, prone to occasional lapses of concentration that leave him out of position and tend to lead to goals, ... I guess he gets a few goals from corners. Salisu on the other hand is a beast physically, is quick and reads the game well, is decent enough with the ball, but seemingly suffers from confidence problems and moments of sheer recklessness. I can see salisu's potential beyond our level. Bednarek on the other hand has reached his which is lower end of the PL. -
And strangely you dodge the chance to show an opinion again... Perhaps all that thinking of numbers between 1 and 20 has worn you out?
-
What do you think we need MLG? I've seen lots of criticism of other people's opinions but you rarely put your own out there...

"Adam Lallana Ex-Liverpool and Southampton midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live Klopp will be delighted with how Liverpool are playing. They're showing all the right signs. Hopefully they can keep progressing and have a chance or two before the break." No suprise to see where Nivea boy's loyalties are....

Cooper is the only one of those I'd want anywhere near our club. Benitez is finished as a top manager - outdated tactics that are no longer relevant. Dyche would be like the second coming of Branfoot. If benitez or dyche is the best we can do we'd be better sticking with hassenhutl (not that I think we should).

How on earth does bednarek keep his place?? He's been woeful for ages now.
-
The saving grace could be that sitting through this shite will all seem worthwhile if the dugout pioneers get relegated...
-
The players clearly couldn't give a shit about finishing any higher in the table - enough points and they're done for the season. Pathetic lack of commitment from the majority.
-
Bednarek shit again...
-
He was a classic flat track bully - just look at who he got most of goals against. Had a heck of a lot of potential and while he was left to do what came to him naturally early in he career looked like he would be a world great, but unfortunately stifled by fergie.
-
I wonder if there is a similar pattern for other similarly minded managers (mourinho, benitez, ...)? I suspect this has more to do with football moving on and puels style of play becoming out dated.
-
Brilliantly managed game. Some very good performances too. Can't help but feeling that adarma is Shane long mk 2 - pace to burn but not a lot else. Look forward to him proving me wrong though
-
I think United will be glad to have got a point against a proper team. A whinging bunch of overpaid twats doesn't make a team. What a performance. Frazer Forster deserves his place. Another game where it is difficult to pick out anyone being better than anyone else as they were all class.
-
Elynoussi deserves a lot of credit - what an intelligent performance today. Great team performance. love the physicality and work ethic of Che and broja up top. Forster also worth a mention.
-
That was a f**king foul on broja. Disgraceful refereeing and once again where the f**k is var..

I can't help but think AA's problem is that he can't think quickly enough for the premier league - his decision making seems to be way too slow and I can't see this being improved by playing at a lower level. He needs a decent run of games which I can only see will only happen if we are safe with a good number of games to go or a really bad run of injuries. From what I've seen he won't ever be good enough, but I thought that about Che...
-
Always a game that I thought we'd lose - they're better organised at the back, better tactically and are miles better at the dark arts (or cheating as it used to be called). Our good run was always going to end sooner or later. On to the next one...

All round a bit embarrassing... Embarrassing commentary/pundits Embarrassing dive from obefami Embarrassing play from Valery to allow obefemi to dive Embarrassing misses from tells and Stephens Embarrassing defending from perraud Embarrassing parrying from Forster And yet we again showed character and won despite most things going against us.

This commentary is utterly absymal. Serious waste of license money paying for these "experts"
