I think relegation is unlikely, but we could be sucked into a battle at the wrong end of the table, especially if our crowded fixture lists leads to tired legs, injuries and suspensions. If we have clear water between us and thae bottom four we can enjoy the Cups without looking over our shoulder.

We have to keep a gap between us and the bottom four. Promotion is not really a possibility this season but the JPT is and we should try and beat Pompey. As we put our efforts into the cups we need to avoid being sucked into a relegation battle.

That is fantastic. Now AP can begin knitting the team together and planning the assault of the League for next year ! In the meantime we can win the JPT and have a crack at Pompey in the Cup. Very happy !!!!!!!!

Just had a thought, if they canot fulfill their fixture do we sue for loss of revenue ? I suppose we can't, as there won't be anyone to sue as they won't exist ! Oh well, could be worth the loss of revenue on this occasion.

The game against Saints is looking more unlikely by the hour.

When the Pompey visit they better lock away the silver cutlery in the Saints boardroom as well. Times are desperate !

I would imagine that ML sees Saints as an interesting project/hobby. Being a good businees man he wants to make Saints a success financially and on the playing field. In both respects he knows that you have to speculate to accumulate, as the saying goes. There is an element of a gamble, but people like ML thrive on such challenges, they are natural risk takers and that is why they are successful in the first place !

A very fair summing up. Implies that we are building for next season and I am sure there will be one or two siginings in the summer to finish things off. The Cups are a nice bonus. Now to enjoy the rest of the season.

Quite right we need to stack some points up to ensure we do not get dragged in to a relegation fight. The Pompey game would be nice to win but is fairly meaning less in the grander scale of things. It's the league for me, anyday !

I would have felt sorry for them if they had shown sympathy for our own plight. However, they delighted in every minute of our misery and so I will delight in theirs !!!!!!!!
