I don't see what is wrong with what he wrote. Clearly we were in negotiations re Morgan unless you believe the spiel about Ralphy being in Canada to speak to Spurs about commercial stuff and never once spoke about any Saints players. Morgan had been told that the club were willing to sell him but we back tracked after the fallout of the Chambers sale. The club should have just sold him and have done with it as he will be sold this window regardless so this farce is all for nothing.

Katarina Doesn't Want To Invest Anymore In The Club - Krueger
Dig Dig replied to Pastor Patrón's topic in The Saints
No problem with the intention and sentiment but the way it's been done could well be harmful to the Premier League status to the club and the overall value of the club. -
Where SHOULD we be aiming for this season?
Dig Dig replied to Unbelievable Jeff's topic in The Saints
We should aim to do better than the previous season which is the essence of a competition. -
The Saints FC board are doing a pretty bad job

Cheap and nasty

Our transfer strategy is all over the place. Utter shambles.

If it makes you feel better mate, you can certainly have that one although I have absolutely no clue what you are talking about. You can have this one as well. It's clear from this thread that you have won hands down

By all accounts and from several sources involving several players, the boards communication with the players has been terrible. Quite clearly we had agreed a move for Morgan but u-turned and went public without even speaking to the player first. The way they are handling the PR side of things is ****.

You don't think that anyone discussed and instructed the club spokesman and the media team on how to handle questions about Chambers absence? It's ok to give it up after making a stupid statement or being proved wrong. You've had enough experience over this summer Jeff. You're having an absolute mare.

Seems they have been lying about Morgan.

A friend has just text me, to say club will be sold in next 6 months.
Dig Dig replied to corsacar saint's topic in The Saints
My mate just text me asking me what I'm doing this weekend. Don't shoot the messenger. -
Clubs don't generally bid for players unless they feel there is a good chance of a club selling them the player. A bid is actually fairly advanced. Clubs seem to be aware that we are open for business and easy to deal with so long as they give us a good price. Everton will have likely dealt with enquiries fairly assertively as their on field aspirations are important to them.

Have people not learnt anything this summer?
-
Yea, terrible thing he did building a great team
-
Wow. I think Fry wants him back more than anyone.

I think we could have had a real go with around 50 million spent on 3-4 players to eliminate the likes Gazza, Jos, Davis (sadly), Yoshida. With the players we just lost, many improving all the time, we would have had as good a chance as Everton or Spurs next season with a bit more depth. We were not 100M away.
-
The fiancial gains have to be balanced with trying to achieve something tangible when we have the opportunity with these types of players. Obviously circumstances sometimes dictate the situation but we would have a much better chance of success if we could get 100 plus games out of them.

Most expensive English teenagers of all time have come from Saints and that doesn't even include Bale. It's pretty remarkable but difficult to take much pride in considering we barely get to see them past a season or so. We have to start making these players count beyond some cash in the bank?
-
Everyone stop wetting the bed FFS, we have only sold 5 players with 2 already replaced and with more to come. We have a manager who is of a higher calibre than MP and some great young players like Targett to step into the team. We may even start next season with a better RB than Clyne AND Chambers put together. I think everyone should go outside and read a book and come back September 1st
-
Pelle is a big gamble IMO and the value of those signings aren't that big in todays world. We have so much quality to replace and if the board are serious about retaining Premier League status, we will need plenty more than those two and we will need some to be of an even higher standard.

He's sent me ITK stuff before which happened.
