From what I've seen, McLaggon will wipe the floor with Dyer. Same speed, but accurate. And big.

Nuns don't have to be virgins, just celibate. Should be able to sort that out from contributors on here....

Lancashire looked promising enough a few seasons back in the reserves. Who knows what damage was done to his confidence and his game by that red card against QPR on the telly - I think opinions were split as to whether it really was a dismissable tackle, but didn't Saints go on to lose 4-1? Maybe he's a candidate for Hoddle's rehab, or maybe, just maybe, AP will be able to give him the guidance he's so obviously been lacking.

On a road to nowhere...

Surely having one's own teeth is a drawback when it comes to submariners - can't take them out when required. Get a grip. (and you can take that any way you like...)

Sorry, done from my phone, so couldn't be ****d to type the whole thing out. "Never has a football club in the size of Saints in recent history really had to stare into the precipice." Quality.

Eye 1241, page 18. Way to go, Strobes!

Big brother actually. I need to get out more.

Not if the defense has other ideas.... If it's between KD and Murty, they have to sort it out. There were a couple of appalling moments yesterday when either KD wasn't calling or Murty wasn't listening, esp one particular Matrix Moment in the first half when they all just stopped and stared at each other, and then the Ajax forward, and then the ball. I felt like I was watching the nipper's team and automatically shouted, "Call for it!" to the entire defense. But, hey, that's what pre-season's for. I think that KD's stock is really high because of the way he's behaved over the last year - AP would do well to capitalise on that. But if there were someone who could keep things organised at the front, esp if we have youngsters on the wing, that would indeed be helpful.

Kelvin and Mills stood out. Murty was solid enough, but on more than one occasion there was dreadful communication between him and other players (inc KD). Maybe just needs time to adjust. :>( Thomas was excellent and a physical presence - looks more like a quarterback than central defense. Things started to fall apart in the second half with all the substitutions. Agree Saga and Rasiak don't look interested, but why just one up front, FFS? Don't they ever learn? Pardew must feel like he's got his work cut out.

Very pleased. Now, can someone in the media team at SMS edit the article to say "League 1" and "League 2"?

Depends on your 5 yr old! Mine was way too sensitive for anywhere but the family enclosure, but now he's 9 we are moving out to the Kingsland. Halfway up is good, too (from about Row Y), as if you're too low down nippers find it hard to see over the people in front. Wherever you decide to sit, make sure you get him an aisle seat. Then he will still be able to see when Saints score. Really, really important.

Another point being that if I show up to work regularly the worse for wear after drinking - not drunk, but less able to perform well than if I hadn't got hammered - then my employer would probably be within its rights to ask me to cooperate with an Employee Assistance programme, and/or to put me on some sort of performance management. If your job depends on you being physically fit and mentally alert, then you have a responsibility to maintain an appropriate lifestyle.

Gobern on the left? Not exactly heavyweight - he and Paterson remind me ever so slightly of young giraffes. But fast. McLaggon on the right, when he's back? So looking forward to him showing Dyer how it's done.

http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1721123,00.html This has got to be good news, for him and for the team. I'm sure that his season at RB will have benefitted him no end (way too many lightweight midfielders out there), but given the choice I'm sure he'd be happier and more productive back in his Reserves role.

Well said - this time last week me and the nipper were wondering what we were going to be doing on Saturdays come August...

According to the family (and the website) WHU don't have any preseason matches until the weekend...
-
Would rather see James back in midfield.

Um, that was Austria. Someone should be able to write some new words to The Happy Wanderer, surely (I love to go a-wandering etc.) Val-der-ie, Val-der-ah! A Saint until I die...
-
Haven't seen Boyle play yet, but the other two should serve us well.
-
Does this mean that Hockaday can come back now? Or even Georges Prost? Please?
-
No, that's the way it's been for quite some time! Scary, isn't it?
-
Same reason that you put things on a credit card rather than pay for them up front - 21 more days that you can hang on to your money and get that precious 0.2% interest...
-
That would be the Red Cross? United Nations?

male box = ???? I was going to say that it's far too early in the morning for that kind of thing, chaps, but thinking about it, it probably isn't...
