Whats the forums advice on healing blisters
SoccerMom replied to Viking Warrior's topic in The Lounge
compeed is brilliant, but may not be big enough. Moleskin cut to fit works if you have to get up again and walk the next day. The two pairs of socks also a good idea. Most important, make sure you reduce the chance of rubbing by tying your boots appropriately. Most walking boots have holes up the foot, then hooks around the ankle and onto the shin. Just at the bend, i.e. before the hooks, loop one lace round the other as if your were going to tie a bow, and then do it again. Make sure that is good and tight before you continue lacing round the hooks. If there is any loose point along the foot, you can do the same to stop your foot slipping down into the boot. I walked a week in the Andes a few years ago and the guide (curiously, a Saints fan from Andover who had gone native and married a Peruvian girl) showed me this trick. Saved my feet from being in total shreds. -
Ian Harte perhaps.

Just noticed this on the OS. How very continental. "The Under-18s returned to wining ways with an impressive 2-0 win at Cardiff City on Saturday morning."

Congratulations:D

Oh, come on, give him a break. It can be difficult to distinguish between the fingers if there is webbing in between. Give it time - if he manages to reproduce eventually even his genetic material will evolve.

Staple a carrot to the skirting board and get some advice from the vet asap. You seriously aren't thinking of letting her have kittens, are you? A) it brings even more cats into the world, and it's hard for them to find someone to love them as it is; b) she will not be very nice once she's had the first litter. In my experience, it makes girl cats crabby as hell.

My travelling companion is nine years old.... and sometimes he gets tired, so sometimes we miss 19.45 kickoffs (or at least the second halves)

Stayed in Harlesden with an old mate on Sat night. He advised us to leave nothing, not even a plastic bag, in view in the car. He also never leaves his door open or even slightly ajar, so that no one can see anything that is left in the hall. that being said, he's been there for over twenty years and has raised four kids. If it was that bad, he'd have left by now. Oh, yeah, and when we were walking back, folks came out of their houses and congratulated us, which was nice.
-
That's what I thought! It started just after they announced his name. I thought the same when we watched it back last night.

Puncheon added to the confusion in the first half, but how they only scored one through that left side I don't know. Oh, now I remember, it was Hartlepool.

Seaborne scares me. The way he let that ball just bounce between him and Kelvin in the first half. What was that?
-
Isn't Seaborne cup-tied?

Glad that we havent given up chasing the playoffs

They have thirty-five days. If it's thirty-five working days, it takes them to just ten days before the season finishes. Even if it's just a straight thirty-five days, do you really think they would wind them up with only five or so games to play? I tried to work out the positive/negative thing with the nipper, but it made my head hurt. -
I think the whole of the Chapel is now a family area, but yes, Kingsland/Chapel corner. I find that the further you are towards the Kingsland, about halfway up (say, from Row Y) gives kids the best view. make sure you book at least one aisle seat if you've got any kids under around 135 cm.

Yes, it does depend on the system. Actually, the equivalence at first degree level is just about there - what our kids do in A2 can be taught from the same textbooks as first year US university courses. But their first degrees represent a better breadth of knowledge, as they will largely be on the credit system, so they have to take more subjects in the first couple of years. As far as I'm concerned, the master's year in the UK is the hardest any student will ever work, and the most stressful. If you get a masters from a UK university, you have every right to be extremely proud. And extremely tired.
-
This can't be, as we won't be there. The nipper has promised to wear a t-shirt that says, "I was there when Morgan scored."
-
Aw, I thought it was going to be a piston engine.
-
That's right - I don't recall the primary school football team ever losing when he was there....
-
Can you imagine any other business making this argument stick? truly mind-boggling.

FAO: Those who want to stand & sing at Wembley
SoccerMom replied to saints_is_the_south's topic in The Saints
I think it's a brilliant idea. Nipper can't wait to get to Wembley, and I would hate it if we had to be the moaning minnies asking people to sit down. That's why I'm grateful for the family enclosure - it means kids can be accommodated without impinging on the enjoyment of others. Time was, he'd have been able to nip down to the front or stand on a box, but that's no longer possible. So if he's going to see, the folks around him HAVE to sit down. -
Abel Xavier looked like a walnut whip.

You can get them delivered by the printers for an entire season...
