  1. Hopefully they're stable, or it may be back to that cycle of searching for a new one every month or two!
  2. The 3 year contract does make that difficult though, it would have made more sense for him to leave on a blaze of glory once we'd won promotion and sign up to Plymouth on a freebie next year to return 'home'. But even if we do go up, we'd struggle to shift him on the wages he'd be on - so automatically he bloats a potential PL team as he can't offer anything at that level. That's why I kinda wanted to see us ditch some of the bloat this summer, some of the guys we know can't do it at the PL level (not all of them, Armstrong will be useful for us this year) but there are a fair few more who just add pointless bloat in the PL and will limit our movement to evolve if they're still hanging on next year with big wages.
  3. They still don't seem to exist anywhere to talk to. Their accounts on telegram aren't even there anymore, all deleted. I messaged the admin guy directly in the past, but his account now shows deleted. They don't respond to emails or the like, so I don't think I'd risk sending a payment for a new month or 3..! Defo a good opportunity to look for a new provider, frustrating as it is as it was all pretty settled. What I have found since searching over the last few weeks is that the offerings have improved, there is better out there than SaintsPlayer now for sure. I haven't really looked for years.
  4. You'd have to say that Bazunu even struggles to get into average keepers for this level - in fact he was the worst in the league the last time out. Last time out I'd have had relegated keepers in our team instead of Bazunu (the rotherham guy for a start) Like you say, the expectation should be that we sell Ramsdale (if we do) and we bring in a full first team replacement. If the club play the line of being content with what we have, and looking for a third choice, then they've utterly screwed up all over again. Hopefully Ramsdale stays, not beyond the realms really. Nothing can be advanced if he's coming to Spain!
  5. I think we all know exactly how this will play out, I assume the club will be calm and relaxed about the situation. If this is true, the bad decisions are still being made and even 'new' people are still totally adrift with what footballers/goalkeepers should actually be able to do.
  6. So, the notable missing: CBs: ABK - No shit. Hopefully goes shortly. Bednarek - Again, no surprise. He'll go somewhere for £6m, just negotiating his move I imagine. THB - Still recovering from a long term, although I'd have expected him to be with the group anyway - just for the team work if anything else. CMs: Downes, Matusuki - both injured, but expected them to be with the group. I'd imagine Matsuki will go out on loan for some reason. Not sure why. Another player we brought in to aid others rather than us seemingly. Attack: Dibling - the real surprise, I can't see him staying now. I know he's injured, but it doesn't send out a strong message. Sadly, we've taken pretty much 100% of the dross with us and most of the players missing are the really important ones. It's not the cull I thought it would be, but it also shows that the squad is very, very weak on quality should the 4 above not stay with us.
  7. Yep - doing a trial with them now. I use something called Tivimate, works fine with that.
  8. Not sure why he's put Leeds in that list either. Feels like a very filtered list to try and make a point. The fact is that Jack Stephens is incredibly limited, even by Championship standards, and comparing him to poor L1 players, or limited/squad NPC players isn't going to change that fact. If he's first choice for us next season we will not be promoted.
  9. Interesting, Leicester were all over Windass and were very keen to get him I read. I guess Wrexham have gazumped them financially. What a sad place for Leicester to be in!
  10. I don't get me wrong, I totally agree that we're lacking useable quality in and around the wide areas outside of Edozie and Dibling. I'd expect (hope) at least 2 attacking/wide players in before the window shuts. We can't go into the season still relying on Fraser and Edozie to provide left sided width, squad players yes (Fraser at a push) but we need genuine starter quality imo - we're down numbers in the wide areas anyway, and when you consider most of our attacks were driven by KWP down from right wing then I do get the nervousness! Still plenty of time though and I don't think we can read anything into these games, the squad will be entirely different come September.
  11. Still said he had a scan today at 14:00 on his groin, doesn't think it's anything, but said there's no reason to take risks in games like this.
  12. Today is not the day to be looking at structure, technical quality, shape or anything like that. None of that is really a thing at the start of pre-season. This was basically a massive gym work out in intense humidity. The structure and quality will build over the coming weeks.
  13. I listened to him and thought - yep - this dude knows what he's talking about, doesn't talk shit he's just straight to the point. But the social media reaction doesn't read the same. ''Gormless idiot'' ''He's not exactly clever is he?'' ''We could have had Dyche, yet we have him'' We have some very confused fans I think.
  14. Doesn't sound great, not good for him. "As a result of the examination and MRI imaging of our football player Paul Onuachu, who was injured during the friendly match played by our Football A Team against Araz Nakhchivan PFK, intense edema due to impact in the left ankle bones and partial injury in the ankle ligaments were detected. The treatment of our player has been started by our medical team."

    Will Still

He wasn't wrong tbf, it's still relatable today as well. Awful team.
  16. Lavia was on the bench at Sheff Weds too, so there was a lot of churn even after that first game. I think the only player who didn't stick around for the start was Tino. He was the surprise sale for me that summer, I thought he may stick around in the Champ and get some proper game time behind him after being injured for so long. To be fair, he didn't make the wrong call as he's gone to a great setup at Newcastle and is now one of their best players.
  17. They never responded to me via email, their actual accounts on telegram have been deleted - the VOD was separate and not managed by them I don't believe. My account has expired now, never mind. So long to them, been a good run!
  18. I really like the kits this year, the away one is my fav - the yellow and blue always brings back good memories.
  19. Makes sense, they're the sort of team I thought he could end up at. Mid-table, solid PL outfit. Didn't they lose Coufal? They brought in a new young left wing back recently as well, so looks like Potter is going for some mobility down the wing back slots! Glad he got a PL move to be fair, I think he deserves it.
  20. There are some other bits I read which made me laugh too. They're apparently in contact with the agent of Jamie Vardy, and are 'open' to the possibility of exploring a deal towards the end of the window. The ultimate panic signing. They are also interested in Ndidi at Leicester and freebie DCL. It's funny to watch after my childhood being full of school morons proclaiming Man Utd is everything, but they're honestly no more than a mid-table PL side now. That's not going to change as the standard of player they have is awful (for the level they aspire). They're targeting Cunha, Mbeumo etc as their big signings, but if we're honest they're just good mid table PL players.
  21. Not bothered about that, he'd cost a fortune, would spend most of the season in the physio room and offer us very little. Good player in his day, cannot deny that. But injuries totally ruined him, he's not done anything over in Turkey. It smells like the sort of hollywood signing Wrexham may try to make.
  22. I don't know much about Rohl really, but the vibe I get - and I think how he came across in interviews - is that he expected to get the job, I think he has a bit of an ego about him - not a bad thing by any means, but maybe he just isn't portraying that in the right way and expected things to just land on his lap. I'm still intrigued to know what happened when he left us all those years ago. I know he ended up at Bayern eventually, but there was some rumours of something iffy behind the scenes before that.
  23. There were a few in those years - John Sheids in our Burley years (or before), he was at Staplewood don't you know! Elliott Ward was another in that Fontaine year, created a lot of noise that we didn't get him. Then we had Amar Jemal another CB we missed in our Champ season, and then Alexander Butner in our PL season who 'slipped through our grasp'. I guess if we go even further, Les Reed went on a flight to try and persuade Marcos Rojo to join us!
  24. I think you need to have a word with the previous club analyst MLG, he's totally overcooked this guy. I've got Barca, Dortmund and Inter knocking on the door for him in the Champ!
