  1. We won't be though tbf, what ever happens we take it to the last day. Even if we lose 2 and WHU win 2 then we need to win and Hull to beat them heavily for us to finish 2nd. Obviously that scenario is a nightmare scenario, but we'll be fighting until the last day.
  2. I think he's finally snapped.
  3. BBC sport digital spy is a good one football-forums.net here, obviously. netweather.tv youtube.com
  4. I don't think they are tbh? I think people are preparing for the worst in their glass half empty outlook. I'm not even contemplating the playoffs, don't worry about them.
  5. Good at Birmingham, but alot of that was down to his partnership with Roger Johnson. Takes those 2 apart and they look pretty average. Dann isn't a bad player though, he needs the right partner alongside him. Maybe we can reunite Dann and Johnson again when Blackburn and Wolves go down?
  6. Don't show this to Alpine.
  7. This. Although he offers a bit of a threat, our team looked so much more unballanced with him in the side. We controlled it much more and had a better shape with Chaplow in there - even though he didn't have his best game.
  8. I'd still say West Ham have their toughest week of the season, they know that they cannot slip up at all. They're away at a scrapping and decent Bristol City team, and then away to a very handy Lecister city team who seem to play better when the pressure is off for some reason. They still have to catch us, and although the pressure has increased on us somewhat, anyone below would swap with us going into this week.
  9. Would agree with that, at this stage with everyone fighting for something the table means zilch - it's who has the drive and motivation to get over the line. Sometimes a little bit of extra quality does the job, but quite often you find very little between teams at this stage of the season. That's why WHU away at Bristol City is going to be a very tricky task for them. If we win and they don't, it's curtains.
  10. Well they probably did, but West Ham's start was so fast that they were caught unawares and by the time they got a grip of it they were 3-0 down. They didn't throw the game, they were just **** in the first 10 mins and were outclassed by West Ham's out of the blocks start. Brighton are like quite a few teams in this league, always in with a small chance of getting a playoff place but when they get to the crunch they're never quite good enough.
  11. They'll probably be opening other sections of the ground I'd have thought. No idea how much Coventry have sold, but I'd expect them to give us more of the Northam.
  12. I'm not that bad yet! But it's a case of who blinks next....one of us will slip up in the next 3 games, but I don’t have the foggiest as to who that will be. As someone said on another thread things are so tight, that by this time on Wednesday morning we could be all but promoted, or we could be sat 3rd with a hell of a lot to do. (although I'd be very suprised if that's the case) Although the GD advantage has gone, there is still a slight advantage, so WHU still have to make it up (and so do Reading tbf) and I can see us putting a few past Coventry on the last day. I just have a feeling that we will be promoted live on sky, of all places, and that will once and for all put this sky ''hoodoo' myth to bed. Getting promoted at home is great, but the feeling of doing it away live on TV would be much greater - especially at Boro's ground.
  13. Nah, they're just crap, which is why any half decent team take them apart at home. As we did, as WHU did etc. They didn't look bothered because they knew the game was up inside 7 minuites.
  14. It would need a truly extraordinary set of results from them, and the teams above them (in terms of slipping up in every game). They're gone.
  15. A couple of people have spoken to him and apparently he isn't far away, wouldn't rule him out making an appearance at M'Boro
  16. As odd as it sounds, they were a stronger outfit when we played them last year at their place. CMS, Ryan Bennett, Zakuani (sp), Little, Tomlin - all part of the side that played us in the 4-4 game, they are either no longer there, injured or out of favour (none of them started their last game). They are replaced by youth team players and a couple of other players from L1. We're stronger, they're weaker. They have nothing to play for, and we have all the drive and motivation in the world (well we should have.)
  17. I wasn't even trying to contemplate that horror story! We'll do the business, I'm sure of it.
  18. That's how I see it, obviously not winning isn't the end of the world on Tuesday, but the pressure if we don't will be absolutely massive. No question about that. We then go into a live TV game, not a normal KO time, against a team looking to get into the playoffs - and we'd need to win by a couple of goals. That's why we really need to do the business on Tuesday so there isn't as much pressure going into the Boro game, there still will be pressure....but going into it on the back of a nice win is what we need.
  19. We have a winner.
  20. I'd stay to the end to be fair, but you couldn't blame them. Spurs season has gone down the ****ter quicker than I ever imagined. From being ''title contenders'' to ''Certain champions league finishers" they are now hanging to it by their finger tips. I'd be surprised if they manage it now. Bit of a cockup tbf.
  21. Let's hope it's as good as our last Tuesday night game, the perfect set of results. West Ham dropping points, Reading dropping points and us doing a clinical job on a very handy team at this level. Looking back at it though, after going 5 points clear of WHU and 7 points clear of Reading that night (with +14/15 on our GD) we really shouldn't have let them back into it as we have. Never mind, we'll still do the job.
  22. I do see where you are coming from in some ways, I'm the same - 2 days on and I'm still struggling to shake this one off - because the title which has been in our hands for so long, has slipped away at the last minute. Obviously promotion is the be all and end all, whatever happens - but I wanted to see us win a league, I wanted to see us lift a proper trophy in front of full St Mary's. We may still do it, but it's a tall order now as we need Reading to slip up a couple of times. But we'll dust ourselves down and we'll do the job at Peterborough, I'm sure of it. These guys have come so far in the last 12 months and after getting so close to achieving the unbelievable I can't see them letting it go lightly. Although we did defend poorly against Reading, they were clinical about it. I don't think we'll face another team as well organized and clinical as them again this year, which has to be a bonus. We played well and you could see the drive and determination in the players which needs to come to the fore in the next 3 games. The Hull result a few weeks ago looks a long way away now, but that was an epic Tuesday. Who's the say this Tuesday can't be the same.....?
  23. glory hunters . I've also noticed the same, people that never really noticed our results ''Oh, did saints lose again this weekend?'' are now fans who know the results without me having to tell them.
  24. It's so tight, scary stuff. We're in the middle of a 6 point sandwich. If we win our next 2 we take the title to the last day, where Reading play away at Birmingham. I don't think you can give up on anything yet, although the results and twists in the last 24 hours have increased my nerves more than any other weekend this season.
  25. If Bristol City do the business and beat West ham, whilst at the same time sending the skates down, then those 2 defeats to them this season don't look too bad after all!
