  1. brilliant. We're not having much luck are we?
  2. How can you say that? You never hear from him usually, a statement or a paragraph in the programme is very very rare. He never speaks, he's in the background 90% of the time. Let's hang him for having his picture on the programme.
  3. Blackpool look a solid side. Didn't think much of Hull, long ball tosh.
  4. They've named a pretty strong team, bar Gorrks QPR: Kenny, Dyer, Hill, Derry, Hall, Gabbidon, Taarabt, Smith, Campbell, Bothroyd, Faurlin. He's not a sub either Subs: Cerny, Hewitt, Buzsaky, Trialist, Agyemang, Ephraim, Doughty, Helguson, Orr, Andrade.
  5. Yes, there's a chairmans notes feature over a couple of pages.
  6. He was terrific when Leicester initially had him on loan. A real nippy striker who got almost 15 goals IIRC. they spent 3m big ones on him, but he didn't really light up the league the next season (mainly due to Sven arriving and players like Yakubu pushing him out)

    Maynard

It's worth leaving the Maynard bid until the 31st, when he still hasn't signed a new deal. They'll be tempted then.
  8. ..
  9. Shane Long, sven has been quoted as saying he's interested in him.
  10. Maynard has to be a real target for us as well.
  11. This thread has been made even more hilarious by all the over-reacting going on.
  12. Heard about the Waghorn rumour the other day, seems to have legs. Good striker, not in Leicester plans as long as they get their new striker. Cost them £3m, so will not be cheap for us.
  13. Have you suddenly forgotten that the transfer window closes on the 31st of August?
  14. Don't think you can read too much into that. Lambo still played for Rovers on the Sat. fixture even though a transfer was imminent and went through on the Monday. You'll probably see the market open up in the next few weeks though, teams lowering the valuations as they know clubs aren't going to match them and the player(s) won't sign a new contract...so they need to cash in. One player in particular springs to mind.
  15. He's a verified football agent afaik.
  16. Good, that's why we still have Chambo. We don't get messed around now, and I'm pretty chuffed with that if I'm honest. Sometimes he may rub people up the wrong way, but I honestly believe he's learnt massively from his mistakes in his first season (everyone makes mistakes in their first job tbf) He's achieving exactly what he's set out to do. There are plenty of chairman that are all talk but not alot else, just be thankful that we have someone to backup the talk with real substance and finance.
  17. He's at it again FFS! I'm not believing anymore he says after that Jamel debacle.
  18. It's not photoshoped, it's the programme cover tomorrow.
  19. Yes, exactly! There's a main chairmans message/notes feature, that's why he's there.
  20. Jesus christ, calm down. Is it really that boring today that we all go slightly OTT about a single match-day programme front cover?!?!?!?! It's funny, just look at it that way. I couldn't really give a ****.
  21. I'll take Forest.
  22. I think the reason he's on there is because for the first time since the new ownership, we have a ''Chairman's notes'' feature for a couple of pages. TBH I think it's quite funny, wouldn't be as bearable if we were struggling (rubs it in a bit) but it's pretty harmless, if a little egotistical.
  23. I'm not kidding you! What's above is the front cover of the programme, but yeah, it's a bit too much! Although I think it's the first time since he's been in charge that we've had a 'chairmans'' notes feature.
