  1. Nah, he's just a troll.
  2. oh shh, absolutely no chance. We'll be top 10 fighting ofr a playoff place and you'll be made to look incredibly silly once again.
  3. He was awesome. Took the **** out of the WBA defenders with his tricks and flicks, and his end product was sublime too. Think we're going to love this guy.
  4. I thought it was a great game for a pre-season friendly. We played some really good football, patient possession play and WBA couldn't get near us at times. Thought the back 4 of Richardson - Fonte - Seaborne - Harding looked very solid and assured. Total howler from Bart, nothing else to be said about that really. Cross came in and he dropped it into the net. De Ridder looks immense though, he was taking the mick out of them with his step overs, flicks, back hills...and he even had an end product because his crossing was sublime at times (and he had an eye for a pass) Oozed utter class every time he touched the ball and the sort of player that makes you sit up when he's on the ball. Thought Cork was excellent too, he starts for me against Leeds with Hammond (who I also thought was excellent in the FH) Hope Chambo's ok - saw him in the tunnel after the match on crutches, but I guess that's just precautionary.
  5. It totally confuses me as to why posters like Deppo are banned, and you're allowed to carry on your pointless, uncharming posts.
  6. Seems that we're sticking with our first choice of Jemal.
  7. Bit more to back it up - http://www.goal.com/en/news/11/transfer-zone/2011/06/23/2544042/young-boys-ammar-jemal-attracting-interest-from-english
  8. Alot of Ipswich fans blame Keane for their season last year, and the squad he left behind. So it'll be interesting to see how Jewell does with his own squad and his own pre-season.
  9. TBH I'd be very surprised if he's even confirmed by then, work permits take weeks (if that's what the hold up is)
  10. Well stoke have been heavily tracking him, so have Zenit. He played in the champions league last year too, so definitely sounds good.
  11. QPR don't have £1m to spend though, believe it or not. They've spent their budget on the agreed fee with Blackpool for DJ Campbell.
  12. Until 2013 I think, so another 2 years to run.
  13. Yeah, sounds like this is all done - bar the work permit. Everyone seems to want to announce it...but they know they can't until it's 100%. Similar to Jaidi...I think they gave up in the end and just got him training with the team, it took until September to get that one confirmed IIRC.
  14. Which is why I think he'll still be here at the end of the transfer window, and will go out on loan or something. We've put an unrealistic price on his head and clubs don't want to match it. (we're well within our rights to do that though tbf)
  15. There are so many sides with a chance, it's incredibly hard to pick. Boro were massive favourites last year after spending £15m odd, but found themselves hovering around relegation most of the season. Same could happen to Leicester...who knows. But I think we'll give it a great go.
  16. It was offered to us, it's not like we've gone asking for the deal to be like this. Can imagine it will throw the Jemal deal in the air though.
  17. Media guy at Bristol City expects a 4th bid for maynard imminently http://twitter.com/#!/bean_head Wonder if it's us...?
  18. http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Birmingham-financial-meltdown-Carson-Yeung-assets-frozen-player-sale-to-survive-new-Portsmouth-article776447.html
  19. They've got a really strong 11. (at the moment anyway) Foster Carr - Dann - Curtis Davies - Ridgewell Burke - Mutch - Fahey - Beausejour Zigic - Jerome ....and they still have king/michel/gomis/caldwell in reserve.
  20. Well yeah....but we didn't drop at that speed - this slide is less than 6 months! (another case of a failed ''fit and proper persons'' test, as Carson Yeoung has never been interested in investing there)
  21. Just heard about this, seems most of the media in and around the midlands are in agreement that they will enter admin before the weekend. What a slide....from lifting the league cup at wembley, to potentially staring L1 in the face.
  22. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2019034/QPR-offer-Southampton-Kaspars-Gorkss-exchange-Jason-Puncheon.html
  23. I think the deal is very close, and is probably the one Adkins keeps alluding too - but I'd imagine that the QPR offer has thrown a spanner or 2 into the works.
  24. Yeah, it's just taken from Solent. So DM and co I remember the days of Jimmy and Will Cope....they were a right couple for The Saint.
