Bristol Rovers Vs Saints,1st half & half time chat..
S-Clarke replied to saint lard's topic in The Saints
HT bit of a bitty half, no one in control - rovers have prob had the chance of the half, but we need to learn how to keep the bloody ball - because when we do keep it for a short periods, we look v good. -

looks like hammond is still struggling a bit to me, hasn't really imposed himself on the game at all yet. -

urrrgh keep posting on the wrong thread... we look a tad jitery on long balls and free kicks into the box tonight, what a miss trotts is...and i think Rovers have targeted that. -
we look so jittery and ''last ditch'' on long balls and free kicks. thats where trotts is the best.. corner to us though

when we're on the ball we look a level above, but for me, we haven't used it well enough yet - we keep giving it back to them, or it goes out of play etc. still a bit bitty, no one is in control yet. -

ffs @ thomas, first thing he thinks of is ''hoof'' straight into the keeper, when he had antiono in front of him -

ahhhh we seem to be giving the ball away alot in the final third, which is frustrating - haven't seen much of antionio yet. -
not me - the sopcast link is quite a high bitrate stream though, 750kbps - so it may be worth going for one of the other links (iraqi goals posted higher up in the thread) as this is a lower bitrate and should work better for some connections.

Great finds with the links guys - really good quality. was trying to sync. it up with the radio solent commentary, but it's annoyingly fiddly and i can't be arsed. -
 slighty ott

and it also shows you that Adams doesn't have a clue and i agree with your point as well, Lambert is the perfect player for it too.

Quite an interesting run down of the deal... ''I do not want to (and will not) get involved in any form of argument about this - and this is my final statement about the Aaron Martin transfer. Firstly, we are all thrilled that Aaron has got his dream move, and we are similarly proud of the part that EFC has played in his development. Secondly, the Directors of the Club are more than happy with the fee we have received, and the potential future enhancements that we have managed to negotiate. A significant "add on" to the transfer was a contractual obligation for SFC to continue their annual friendly fixture. We must emphasise that this has a significant financial impact on our Club, and the value should not be underestimated. Thirdly, the delay in the completeion of this transfer were purely logistical - and neither SFC or EFC were unreasonable or demanding in their negotiations. All parties wanted to be satisfied at the final outcome, and we believe that this is now the situation. As I have previously stated, we have agreed with SFC that the actual fee we received is not to be disclosed - but I can confirm that the amount in question was by far and away a Club record.''

No idea - a question for Cortese i think, but they're restructuring right over the board. You find that this sort of thing happens in almost all companies after a takeover.
-
We won't be able to pay him until after January surely? How can we ''confirm'' his registration outside of a transfer window? Didn't think that was possible - maybe we've got him on an intiial loan basis?

There are only 2 members of staff left from the ''Old club'' - there have been mass redundancies over the past 4 months, some people who have been around for years too unfortunately. But these guys want to start from the ground up, with their own people in all positions - which you can understand. Their argument is that there were too many ''dormant positions'' and ''unused staff''
-
They did sign alot of new players in the summer, of decent quality too - so many reckoned they'd be up there, but it just hasn't worked for them.
-
well let's hope we break the TV jinx too

Not a chance in hell. Wilkins was ''let go'' by the club as Coach in may by the new chairman.
