i often laugh at that Sunday supplement show, half the stuff they talk about just has me shrugging. - they get so heated over the fact that Rafa subbed torres, who the hell cares? It's only good when they rip into the skates, but they didn't today which was a shame..
-
it was, but people often shrug at us and look at the next story, regarding what Sir Alex had for breakfast the prem makes the media circus go round, anything under that is rated unimportant unfortunately.

all the flaming time Colchester made sure they got boothroyd in 2 days before we played them too.

No one seems to be aware of our new found wealth. All i ever hear/read are ''how can they afford him, when they're in money troubles?'' ''they're skint - how can they afford lambert?'' etc...
-
Excellent. Honestly, teams must wait until they have us lined up next to do that. They'll obviously have a new one in place for our televised game, ready for the bounce effect.

I've always had quite an open mind on this kind of stuff, most haunted ''used'' to be quite interesting... watched it last night and they hung a member of their crew on some old gallows ffs, as they say this will conjure up the spirits. It didn't. (oh, but they did hear a knock on the table) The guy was ok, as he had a harness attached to him but it's still a pretty stupid experiment.

Time for our season to start / league table to watch
S-Clarke replied to NickG's topic in The Saints
True - i'm looking forward to the next few games, Charlton and Norwich at home...will be a good test to see where we are IMO. -
Agreed. People are going a bit OTT with this ''4-5-1'' - it's not a fixed rigid 4-5-1 by any means and when we're on top it's a 4-4-3 as you said. That formation will only work when we're fluid though, if we cannot get the ball down and use the width quick enough then it doesn't work (as shown y/day in the first half). I still believe though that the starting formation has shown enough promise in the last 6 games to warrant us to continue playing it. 4-4-2 is a great ''impact'' change, when we're chasing the game and on top.

Agreed, the only defeat has been the rovers game and that was a freak result IMO...as shown by both teams form in the following 6 games. -
Quite a few of them are saying that. I think it's because he looks so gangly, uncomfortable and inconsistent in his play at times - which is great in a sense, as defenders have no idea what to do with him.
-
Agree with that completely. Antonio is the perfect impact sub, im not sure if he would have the same effect starting the game.
-
What a great finish his 2nd' goal was. He is simply too good for this division - and was last season too IMO. So impressed we managed to keep him in L1, as he could easily be banging them in for a top 6 side in the championship.

They don't rate Papa too much... ''they did look capable of catching us out at times down the wings. Daniels was caught out too often and was troubled by the pace of their number 9, but thankfully said player was beyond dreadful - a contender for the worst footballer I've seen play in League One.''
-
they have some bitter fans.... ''Cheated out of a win. A deliberate handball in the build up helped set up the equaliser. If there was ever a day when a football club was consumed by its own ego and smug it was Southampton today. Thinking they could walk in and easily win purely for being called Southampton, showed why they are where they are. 1-0 down within 44 seconds, a few of them looked quite shocked, well to be fair they weren't the only ones as we are one of the worst teams in this league. One of our best players Mkandawire has to go off with a deep cut to his head despite scoring. On comes Ashworth, who to fair be coped well. Southamptons only chance in the first half was missed by Lambert, who somehow missed from 6 yards. Second half, the inconsistent Townsend from a breakaway delivers a pinpoint cross and it comes off Jaidi for another classic Own Goal. Now, we don't have the quality players and fitness that Southamptons do. Williams subs didn't work. Scowcroft came on and offered nothing. Southampton, after alot of pressure deservedly pulled a goal back, they put us under alot of pressure and got their deserved equaliser, thanks to the ref not spotting a handball in the buildup. We put up an excellent fight, if Southampton and their fans didn't have their heads up their own arses they'd have strolled to a victory. A draw was a fair result, but not in the circumstances from which Southampton got it from. The fact that the travelling Southampton supporters were celebrating a point against one of the worst teams in this league says it all about them. Naive and a bit fickle.''

Reading are dragging their hills at us extending the loan, according to the echo webchat thing y/day

Great effort by the lads, never say die attitude. Must say if it was our day, we could have finished orient off by 5-6 goals, but at least we didn't lose and this comeback will add even more confidence to this team.
-
chance for orient there theyre still a threat tbh i'd take a draw now, a fantastic result in the circumstances
-
4mins added on time I just hope we keep it solid and don't get hit, as they have pace...
-
i love this team tbh, a ''never say die'' attitude to them
-
****ing hell, that was nearly 3-2 jesus, what an effort this is by the lads
-
Orient cannot handle us tbh
-
