  1. Just on SSN, Pompey say that they are ''Suprised by the winding up order, as they believed the tax was all in order'' lol - they just don't have a clue.
  2. We will sign big in this window, i'm certain of it.
  3. But southend's debts were only something like £1-2m, pompey owe £10m...and it's rising every day. Not going to be an easy way out.
  4. at least Pard's is looking high up though.....glasgow saint will love this ambition
  5. he was one of villas best players last night......i can't see that. fair play for AP having high aspirations...but that's probably a little too hopefull....maybe if we were pushing in the championship...
  6. more funny news they still have OVER 10,000 tickets left for the Cov FA Cup game on saturday... let's get down there and show our support
  7. i've seen alot of people say he's been released by boro - but i cannot see it anywhere.
  8. so obviously they still aren't keeping up with their tax payments....even though they came out and said this was being covered a few weeks back, funny. I guess this also means no chance of their transfer embargo being lifted. It will be funny seeing them sell and not be able to buy.
  9. It looks ike they're delaying the inevitable doesn't it? but i still have this horrible niggling feeling that they'll survive, have their debts paid off and get away with it all scott free - it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.
  10. He's not done too badly this year, they only signed him in October as well i believe - so his goals tally is quite impressive. But this league is generally poor, and you don't need to be a world beater to do well - a bit of power/strength and you'll do well He'd be a good squad player at this level though, no doubts about that.
  11. Not surprised in the slightest, he was a dead man walking last night - his position became untenable. He's not done a bad job, but his position was always on a knife-edge as Bolton fans never really wanted him in the first place.
  12. You really should have taken up the opportunity on the Arsenal season ticket.
  13. I do see where you're coming from TDD. i've been thinking along the same lines - we could be the stand out team next year. Having Leeds, Norwich, Charlton and us in the same division makes it much harder to get out, it's probably as tough as this league has ever been.
  14. Is he still injured? he's not made a single appearance all season.
  15. true....that's where he played his best football IMO.
  16. i've just had a look as well, and seeing some of the brighton fans views...i kind of hope we give this one a miss! I guess we'll be linked with alot of Wilkins old players though.
  17. Isn't he a CB? would make sense, but i don't think hes had the greatest of seasons tbf.
  18. Preston have just sacked their manager, that could throw trotmans situation up in the air somewhat.
  19. was mentioned on here a few weeks back, we've been scouting him.
  20. This Chris Lines rumour seems to be getting up speed - theres a thread on it on the B Rovers forum and also a couple of posts on 606 (i know, i know...) saying that we have made an official bid and offered him 5k a week. Can't really say i've seen too much of him....but he's been an ever present in central midfield for rovers this year (he's only 22 as well)
  21. it was 4-0! Spurs didn't even get a sniff that day, it was one of the most complete footballing performances we have produced. ahh bring back those heady days...
  22. i still think that 80k is hyped up slightly, at a guess that wage is a total of appearance bonuses/win bonuses/goal bonuses/performance bonuses etc (and i doubt he's taken many of those home...) his basic wage may only (i say only...) be about 40-50k. When we had Rasiak and Skacel, their weekly wage could sometimes have topped 20-25k (based on the bonuses)
  23. His lack of pace will always hinder him and stop him from becoming a top top player, but he showed enough last night that he can hold his own. It was interesting to see that Mick played him in an advanced midfield role, coming in from the left to join up with the strikers - we really wasted him at LB, and the fact that Mick has never played him there shows what clowns were running this club. he'll prob be back here one day, he was a good lad - a proper supporter and he played with his heart (sometimes last season that was his problem). It was nice to have a player like that in the team though.
  24. I think our problems sometimes come from Lallana cutting inside, it would be nice to have an out and out wide man who gets to the byline and whips the ball in - at this level, that will win you lots of games. It would also improve the balance of the side. I agree that holmes is that sort of player...but i think we can forget him ever getting a run under pardew, he clearly doesn't rate him and tbh alot of our confidence in him comes from 6 or 7 starts early last season - that was it. He was then pretty much injured for the rest of the season.
  25. Ward is indeed an ex-pardew player, he was with him at West Ham (although he was a player coming through the ranks back then) IMO he is a top quality championship CB (as he's shown at Plymouth and at Cov) - Cov signed him for £1m and he became their captain straight away, so if we do manage to get him for L1 it will be a massive coup.
