what can you do if the player doesn't want to drop down? As was the case with danns. personally, based on our position, we did as well as we could have done. No one disagrees with fonte - class signing (suprised he came), same with puncheon. barnard - seaborne are good players at this level, but are at the right age to be able to step up another level.

what are you on about now? I think you'll find that Luton took 30k+ to wembley and enjoyed that victory more than anything they've had to endure over the past 3 seasons. what am i asking luton then?

but we won't get to the final of the FA Cup tbh, in a realistic world - so the JPT offers a realistic chance for fans of this club to get to go to wembley - no one would pass that up, whether it's the tin pot trophy or whatever.

It makes a massive difference if you are there, trust me - you can form your own opinion for a start, without having to pull together everyone elses. Personally i think alot is being made of our performances of late, they haven't been as dominant as earlier in the season, but we're still not really loosing games. We're going through a bit of a lean-spell performance wise (all teams do, you can't keep up 3-1 wins all season) but once we get puncheon playing regularly i think things will change, he's the sort of player we've been crying out for.

tbh alot of people post the same amount if we win, lose or draw - there is as much to talk about in any situation. It seems to me you just come to life when there is something to moan about, i don't think anyone will disagree with me there.

i don't think charlton will go up tbh, they'll just drift away as the season goes on and lose out in the playoff semis . - What the future holds for them after that, god knows. I don't think they'll be much of a force in this league next year. I don't think we need to spend much more money in the summer though, as long as we keep the core of this team together - maybe put a decent bid in for a central midfielder, and get another striker on loan but that'll be it for me.

but there are poor pitches, and then almost unplayable pitches. according to Tisdale, the match nearly didn't go ahead because of the state of it.

leeds are in worse form than us FWIW - and norwich also lost a game...! teams have dips - we're having one at the moment. (not so much in results, more so in performances) if we were to have any chance this season, we could not have a single dip - we needed to motor on all year, but with a new team and a squad being built - the chances of that were always going to be slim.

you're spot on, i've enjoyed this season. People got carried away with that run in November, but the reality was we would have had to keep that form up to be within the pack now - that wasn't going to happen, we didn't have the depth of squad back then. I'm just enjoying this season because i know we will get better from here - and anyone who doesn't' see that is a bit silly. and i think it's something like 2 defeats in 26 games. shocking form, i agree

No offence alpine - but why do you moan about the stick you get? Some of it is OTT...I agree…but I can see why people react the way they do. You are prominent on every single thread if we drop points or lose a game. Some of your points are valid, granted - but people don't need to see it said over and over again. If we win and have a good run, you'll say well done etc - but that's it, you have no real input after that. Why? You seem to come to life when things are out there to moan about...yet sneak into the background when things are going well. I don't get it - and most other posters don't, which is why you sometimes get the stick you do.

i agree about asking questions - i'm not happy with today tbh, and i'm not happy with Jaidi/Harding not being in the side for no apparent reason. the time to really judge pard's though will be next year, i'll just go with it this year and see where it takes us.

if you think pre-season is just about playing friendlies, you have alot to learn! but i wont go on about that, or the fact that we nearly went bust - because that's just an excuse isn't it.

i don't think anyone is ''happy'' with mid-table - but it's a case of having perspective and looking at the bigger picture, rather than quick snapshots of everything. i.e - we've won 2 games 3-1, we'll win the league. We've lost 2 games 1-0, we're getting relegated. i've accepted top half mid-table, i said it at the start of the season. That run we had in November/october raised the bar - but we're still not a bad team now, we just had too much to make up at the end of the day.

JPT or not - wembley is a great day out and it will be fantastic when () we make it. It's still going to be tricky though - MK Dons come into this game with nothing to lose, so expect them to attack for fun - we'll have to be at our best at the back (i expect harding and Jaidi will be back?) looking forward to it though - will be good to see a near on full house for a mid-week game!
