The problem with Adam is that he doesn't really have a 'position'. Playing him on the flanks forces our game narrow straight away - he's not the sort of player who's going to get to the byline and cross it, he'll want to come in and run at defenders. (thus often not having the strength to get through and falling over, or running into a crowd) He needs to be given a position and then learn the trade - I'd say an attacking forward, just behind the strikers - floating in between the midfield and the front players. He has got a ability to pickup pockets of space...and a pass. He has immense ability - he just needs to find his solid position on the pitch and once he does he will excel.

Maybe both. Surprise at who we've managed to sign, and excitement at watching him in action...
-
The asking price for him is between £1m -£1.5m apparently, which isn't ''too expensive'' - esp if it's someone who gets you out of this league! Said from day one we needed to go for him, he took the **** out of us when we played Bristol Rovers in the FA Cup a couple of seasons ago. - as well as scoring the bloody winner.

Blimey Worrying times for them. This is so pinnacle-esque it's untrue. Wonder if they have a ML type waiting in the background if this fails?
-
Maybe that's why it's not such a good plan to sign near on 10 new players within a few weeks!
-
Oh well - good effort by exeter. and even worse for Norwich 1-7 now. WTF?
-
2 strikers IMO. You saw when we lost Pato today - we had no one else to play, we resorted to playing Jake up there! Madness.
-
Another positive...at least we're not Norwich.
-
6-1 lol Leeds 1 - 1 Exeter too ...what a great story that is. (if it stays like that)
-
It Wasn't danny - it was his brother, Anthony.
-
He did play well, dominated in the hair up until about 70mins, he did tire as was expected. I wouldn't say he was MOTM...he was good, but not as good as Harding who was my MOTM. - Murty close 2nd.

Someone mentioned earlier saying they had heard we are in for Jay Simpson at arsenal? They also said on Sky sports earlier ''Sky sports understand that a host of clubs are battling it out for Jay Simpson from arsenal'' I know people say he played in the prem last year...but i didn't think he played that well up there and im not sure anyone else would take a gamble on him in that level ATM. But i expect there's alot of interest from the championship too. Who knows...? That would certainly be a signing to excite (can only see it being a loan though)

Oh dear - on another note, Stern has been stretchered off for Palace with a broken arm.
-
mmm interesting.... More F5'ing this week. I'm going to get sacked ffs!
-
It's because gunn is a crap manager. Surprised they kept him on - they've let him spend a fair bit of money, which is utter madness considering that they're lacking finances atm.
-
He actually won some headers!
-
Injured, pulled his hamstring y/d

Completely agree. Severely lacked any strength up front (although Pato tried his hardest) also midfield was good on the ball...but when the going got tough, it kind of evaporated. I'm sure pard's is aware, he's constantly said we need stronger/experienced heads out there - i'm sure we'll get them!
-
I agree re: Saga, he was really frustrating. His touch was off today as well and it kind of looked like he was running in treacle at times. We need a giant focal point up top, with someone with pace to run off him. (we were sadly lacking pace today, when we had chances on the break)
-
Another positive (a huge positive for me) was Dan hardings performance. Best defensive LB we have had for aaaages. Also looking up to the directors box and seeing WGS there. ....Morgans 2 long range efforts (so unlucky with the first) ...Pattersons performance - looks like he can do a very good job for us (we shouldn't rely on him though...still need a couple more forwards).
-
I'd still like us to sign another real dominant CB who will take no prisoners(i hope this Jadii deal gets resurrected) But in whole - the entire defensive shape of the team for the first 60mins was excellent. Midfield harried and closed down well and the fall backs didn't let anyone past them. (Thomas was great too - but he tired towards the end which is to be expected).
-
He was playing superbly...then you're right, that bloody pass. He did that last season too, seems to lose that bit of concentration and lacks awareness at key times. If you can coach that into him, then he's a player - ooses class on the ball.
-
0-4 down now ...we played ok though, very impressed with Harding and Patterson. Pato was really busy all game and we really lost our threat as soon as he went off (hope it's not a bad knock) Interesting to leave Gillet out....still don't rate Wotton there tbh, but you can understand us not wanting to play too youngens together i guess. Someone like Matt Holland would have been excellent out there today IMO. Still work to be done - but it's a decent start. (Woo -9 now)

Interesting comments from County fans when Southend were interested a few weeks back... http://members3.boardhost.com/marionsboard/msg/archive/1246958802.html they'll drive him down to us for £5
