  1. Well he did well, only let in 4 goals Grimsby fans don't rate him.... http://www.thefishy.co.uk/cgi-bin/forum/Blah.pl?m-1250354173/ To think we took him as part of the early settlement to Bale's transfer. Makes me shudder how we were run before.
  2. Great stats for Lambo Played 3 - Scored 3. This is how he started last season according the the rovers fans, scored in everyone of their first 10 games i think? He certainly knows where the goal is - would love him to be supported by width though.
  3. Came on as a sub, and by accounts of what people have been saying on here - he didn't disgrace himself.
  4. Carsley would be great - but a tad unrealistic atm. (hey...i'd love to be proven wrong) He's exactly the 'sort' of player we need though...it's just a case of finding the right player who's within our reach.
  5. I agree to an extent on that. I just fear where we will stand in January if we don't add to the squad now though...i don't want us to go into the new year in and around the bottom 4.
  6. Good player! He was influential for colchester last year - hasn't played yet this year though (i guess he's injured/ or wants out ??) Goal scoring/attacking midfielder who knows this league = perfect.
  7. Apparently off to Bristol rovers after they made a bid...heard a whisper on Friday...and surprise surprise he's not even in the squad today. Would make no sense to sell him.
  8. Spot on.....the question is, who? That must be the problem for Pard's atm...he knows (like us) what we need to do to improve...but who can we get? and will they want to come? It's tough...
  9. It will be very hard to push a deal through for Tuesday, we'd need to have a deal tied up by Monday afternoon! I'd expect some new faces by Sat. though.
  10. Not for me. There's no pace there - and that's what we're crying out for. Not sure what Yorke would offer us tbh? I'd take Holland though.

Im not sure what the OP is saying? We didn't get relegated from the championship in our first season down?
  12. Good result for them too tbf.
  13. When we were in the premiership? Maybe - yes. We're not - forget those days, long gone and may never come back. We're a lower league team now and the sooner some of our fans start to realise that..the sooner we can start moving in the right direction again. Some of the comments on here from people saying ''how can we loose to **** like Huddersfield?'' is completely misguided IMO. - and they're completely out of touch.
  14. Thomas is ok -but he needs someone dominating next to him. Jaidi would be perfect. Wotton needs to get shot ASAP - part of last seasons disaster and will be part of this seasons disaster if he is not replaced with someone of equal experience...but with a bit of ability. Pace down the flanks is also a priority, playing it narrow will get us no where in this division. Leicester walked this league because they had pace down the flanks and had Steve Howard up top to stick it in. We've got the steve howard type...now all we need is the width and the ''Oakley'' figure.
  15. not sure you can blame todays result on him...
  16. Sounded awful - i don't know why i listened to the entire 90mins of that because it was a carbon copy of last seasons dross. You have to remember though the majority of the players in our squad are used to one thing....loosing, every single week...conceeding goals...every single week. Once (and it will happen) we get some more players in down the spine of the team and rack up some results and goals...we'll start to be ok. I'm not sure we're benefiting with having the likes of Morgan and Adam in the side ATM though - i'd bring them back in slowly, when we're winning again. It may be too late to do anything this season, or we may still have a chance...who knows, but i think we should all realise that we're not good enough yet and an away game like this, to one of the favs, came way too early for us.
  17. You've summed it up for me....exactly what we need. Pref. the players will have some pace too...
  18. I agree, coming to a place like Huddersfield could have done with being a few months later.... but now it's over...and the fixtures coming up are ''winnable''
  19. I'd hope that is posted in jest, but with our fans...you never know.
  20. Agreed, i know what you mean. Once we settle a team out there, we'll do ok IMO. We're way tooooo lightweight for this league atm, esp away from home. Lambert is a start though...as proven today.
  21. oh well this game has probably come too early for us. Huddersfield are settled...and we're just starting. As i said...Pard's will have learnt alot today and i can assume we will now dive into the market with even more urgency.
  22. We're not good enough yet though, we will be...but it'll take a bit of time. Just frustrating we couldn't show a bit more steal about us today.
  23. We really don't seem to have players who can hack it away from home, when the real pressure is on. the likes of Adam/Morgan/James just seem to vanish and become completely ineffective. I'm sure Pards will have learnt alot today and it will have highlighted the need for some real quality and knowhow in the CB and CM positions.
  24. i'd be happy with a draw now...!
  25. more slack marking at corners
