The price announcements and footballing decisions are critical at this point, if SR read the room wrong then they'll lose a lot of match goers who will have had enough putting up their hard earned cash this year, to watch an absolute abomination. I didn't renew mine this summer, thanking my lucky stars now to be fair, but the price and club footballing 'decisions' will dictate what I do next year. No price freezes, no increases, the price has to come down in order to 'give' something back to the beaten and bruised fans this year - and they also need to make some sensible footballing decisions for once.

Nathan Jones and his fabulous stats bounced about because it came out of his mouth, in an interview, whilst he was at Luton. It ended up on social media because he said it out of his own mouth in front of TV cameras, and people picked it up. But you could still hear it without needing social media as it went all over SSN. I feel like you're maybe getting agents confused with social media, as the agent drops behind the scenes (and into the mainstream media) do happen...but basing an appointment on facebook or twitter posts isn't how it's done.

Sargent is one of those good Champ, poor PL players - but he is a good player for Norwich without doubt and if the price was right I'd be inclined to have a look. I hoped we'd have a sniff around Siaz at Norwich, but looks like he's been snared by Villareal which is a good move. I've seen nothing from Archer this season to suggest he can do a job, but part of me wants to see him in a 2 and with someone like Sargent it could work.

Can you imagine us changing our badge when Sports Republic are in charge and calling the shots? Imagine the sort of disaster they'd come up with!

Leicester was our only chance of getting to the heights of 12 points, and even Leicester were too strong for us. Man City are certainly too strong, Everton will come out all guns blazing as their final show at Goodison - that won't be a pretty watch, and Arsenal are also again too strong. GD in terms of the 'worst on 11 points' will come into the equation without doubt.

That really isn't how it works in any way what so ever.

To counter that though, maybe he knew what he had to do to keep your head above water and it wasn't going to be pretty? That's all you really needed in year 1, stay up, look at the summer and then make a switch if required. I think he'd shown after his time at Forest that he deserved more of a shot. I think it's probably fair to say that your fanbase were against him from day 1 though, mainly due to his Forest links. You got the appointment wrong in the first place because the people running your club didn't read the room, but I still think he's a pretty capable manager. Your ownership situation seems as mad us ours really, they don't seem to have a real idea and lurch from bad call to bad call. A big summer for you guys as much as it is for us.

Looks like there is going to be a bit of a churn of managers this summer. The summer could be more interesting than this season has been!

There's a hell of a lot riding on Spors! I do agree that we need a clean slate in the main, but it will be hard to ditch everyone we want to in a single window. There will be some financial juggling I'm sure, and maybe it'll be over a few windows until we have a proper competitive side again. My fear is wholesale change this summer will require big financial outlay in one big hit, mainly re-investing the fees we get. If we waste that money in one window then that's us done for. Could be a case of tread carefully, stabilise in the Championship for a year and build from there. I'd hope the season after next to be one where we can really push again after stabilising, similar to as we did under Burley - but without being as skint as we were then.

It was a crazy comment really wasn't it, given that he was there replying to a post which was made possible by the people who according to him don't actually do anything.

He's another Isgrove/Simms/Hesketh type player imo. Great at the underage levels, but struggles to make a consistent step up. The injuries haven't helped him at all and it's a shame for him.

My feeling is that next season will be similar to our first season in the Championship when we were relegated in 05/06. Never in the promotion conversation, a bit of a recovery in the 2nd half of the season to finish top of the bottom half. Football doesn't care for reputation or finances, if you have a losing habit then it can take some time to shift no matter what level you're at. We have a habit of not even competing, so god knows how long this will take us to reset.

Carlos Corberan left for Valencia last year, pretty out of date from AI's point of view! The sensible appointment would be Rohl, but like others I'm surprised by the lack of mention of Cooper anywhere

Maybe not half, but I'd suggest there are a few teams littered around L1 and L2 who would have given it more of a shot than we have. The standard of the PL has been really poor this year, so it's entirely possible that lower league teams would have been able to beat some prem sides, and over a course of a season 3 wins and a couple of draws for any competitive professional outfit should be achievable.

That time has been and gone. I was a big fan of Ralph and always will be, his departure was handled horrifically by the fools in charge of the club, but we shouldn't go back. Both sides have moved on now.

It's certainly the sort of left-field/clever/thinking outside the box appointment that SR like to make. I don't have anything against Ramsey and he may well end up a good manager, but in the here and now we need someone who has managed before and knows how to handle a pressure situation with lots of moving parts. This summer is not the time to be clever.

From what I've gauged form Rusks teams, is that he's trying to minimise the involvement of players who won't be part of the club next season, likely already moves lined up (or loan expiring). We've had to pick Fernandes/Ramsdale and co because we need some quality, but you don't see the likes of ABK, Aribo, Gronebak, Suguwara, Taylor etc because they have no future here.

They've made a right mess of almost everything they've touched, not out of bad intentions, but just because the people they put in charge don't have a clue. Lots of businessmen trying fancy fluffy roles, like you say, trying to be ultra-clever and do things in a unique way with people who understand business - but have no idea about football. There's a lot of a lot riding on the appointment of Spors, they have no rope left and it simply has to work or they need to go and leave our clubs alone before they kill us terminally.

And unsurprisingly that combo resulted in a calamitous avoidable error which resulted in us losing 1-0 on the day, yet still we cracked on.

Absolutley, he screwed us over. It goes back to benji's point, he's spot on about how lesser teams compete at the top level - and trying to keep the ball is not how you compete when you have lesser players. Most fans saw it last season, we certainly all saw it at the start of this season, but stubborn Martin continued to preside over the approach and hung these players out to dry really. None of them are good enough for sure, but then asking them to focus on keeping the ball on top of that is just setting up for humiliation. Only a nut job owner gives him another job.

I do have certain emotions this season that I've not associated with this club before, definitely. Even when we went into admin and were being relegated from the Champ, I still felt some pride and hope and I enjoyed supporting this club. There's nothing enjoyable about it anymore. I pretty much hate the entire first team squad. The club is the laughing stock of the country, they've humiliated the fan base and the city and it will never be lived down. I've never felt so disconnected from the club as I do today. I don't know what the future holds and quite frankly I'm quite apprehensive about what that may be.

He's only being truthful to be honest, there weren't any other positives. He isn't going to do himself favours by making up crap to try and fluff up the mood. Maybe Sulemana being subbed was another positive, but beyond that I've got nothing.

I reckon there will be takers for Downes, and he seems the sort who will jump ship at the whiff of trouble - he tried to do it in January. Manning/Stephens, maybe they will be hard to shift this summer, that's why I think this remould will take a good few windows to accomplish as we may well be waiting for some contracts to expire. Another season of Stephens at CB isn't going to fill the stadium though, that's for sure.

Same, when I saw some of the OS Training pics I was trying to figure out who that was - thought it might have been an academy kid, then I remembered. If Spors had any involvement with that signing, even a loose recommendation, then I'm concerned.
