1-1, that was incredibly short lived.
-
0-1 Spurs. A kane deflecter! and now a brighton penalty.
-
Norwich fans have said as much, he's not been strong or physical enough in CM for that league. They like him at RB though.

(If we go down) what will you miss about the Premierleague?

I guess the profile of it, being able to readily watch highlights on mainstream. Being able to go toe-to-toe with some of the best players in the world – although we haven’t done that for the last two seasons. I think Channel 5 loose the EFL rights next year, it goes to a channel called QUEST or something. -
Maybe take a pair of cruches as well.

The fact of the matter is that we now have 1 more team above us. Can't see this being a good thing in any way.

Down to 19th we go.

I won't quote it again, but top post Toon Saint. Another angle to look at is how benifical is the Europa League for clubs of our size? Is it just a poisioned challace? Recent memory of the likes of Boro, Fulham, Bolton, Brum, Swansea, Skates all having a good time in the EL but then falling away in the league. It just seems to me that clubs of our size focus too much on bulking the squad out with average additions and they lose sight of actually improving the first team.

It's not his 11th league goal, it's his 7th.

Just realised that after WBA's win @ Old Trafford today, we are now the only side in the PL not to have beaten a so called 'Top 6' side this season. Possibly even two seasons in the league. From being in a position where we used to attack the top sides and scare them, we have become totally and utterly out of our depth at this level.

They have better players.

1 win since November, just 3 wins in total since September. 5 Wins all season. Shambolic.

Nearly £100m worth of 'Talent' not on the pitch yesterday

He's a director now though isn't he, so probably a little more difficult to just let him go. Not sure why he's a director, but whatever. -
I still can't see that. A wage cut in the event of relegation doesn't harm the player, he'd be off if we got relegated anyway. For clubs of our size relegation is always a possibility, so it would have to be complete ****-poor management at the top if they've allowed the contracts to get to that level. I wouldn't put it past them....but I still think it's unlikley.

There was nothing good about Puel, like there was nothing good about Pellegrino. Two shocking appointments back to back, which goes hand in hand with our shocking transfer windows. I know the media will love the Puel line on Thursday, but he'd lost the fan base, he'd lost a segment of the first team - and for what it's worth, he's doing exactly the same at Leicester right now. The blame for me lies with the people making the calls at the club. Whoever thought Puel and then Pellegrino were the right people to take us forward after Koeman and Poch needs their head examined.

I think it's done and dusted to be honest. The 3 now will be the 3 come the end. They key run of matches for me where we needed to kick on was Burnley, Stoke, Newcastle, West Ham. 0 wins and just 2 points from 12. Goodnight Vienna. Now we need 2 wins just to reach parity with the others.
-
Given that we still have a decent $$ incoming pending from the world record fee for a CB, and we'll likely recoup at least £50m from sales this summer and lose those wages, then whoever the manager is should be given the opportunity to build a new team all over the pitch. If he isn't then I'm done with this club.
-
The champ is a slog. The only relegated side who have done 'remotley' decent is Boro, and they're only just in the playoffs. Hull and Sunderland are shot to bits. Norwich are still nowhere near 2 years after they arrived. If you get it wrong off the pitch and still believe you're a cut above then you will fall flat on your arse down there.
-
This is exactly my problem with this club. Up ourselves, blue sky thinking, trying to be clever and think we're better than everyone else. Absolute cringe worthy load of ********. We just pat ourselves on the back all the time and belittle other clubs achievements. (Leicester copied us..!). ****ing hell. Lunatics running the asylum anyone.

Stephens is suspended. Won't be avaliable for us until Bournemouth.
-
It's worse than that. A new 5 year contract a year after he'd signed a new 5 year contract. Bemused.

Ryan Bertrand - not fit to be captain, a disgrace
S-Clarke replied to davefoggy's topic in The Saints
When it went to 2-1 I looked at him to see what he was doing/instructing. The result was pretty galling. He did nothing, no encouragement, no fight, no fire in his belly. That was the moment this meak and mild team needed a leader to put his arm around them and say 'calm the **** down'. But he didn't. He is only captain by default as he's the least 'meak' player, but that's not saying much. -
New CB, new RB, new CM, new ST, new left winger. So, Alfie ones, Yan Valery, Sam Gallagher and Jake Hesketh/Nathan Tella. #winning
