We've been picked for a live game on 'Sky Sports Mix' - I think that's their free sky sports channel? Other live games are Liverpool v Brighton and Newcastle v Chelsea. Poor sky. It all promised so much more for them.
-
I don't know why people keep thinking Swansea are suddenly going to score buckets. They are the lowest scoring team in the league with just 27 goals over 37 games. Their top scorer has 7 goals. We thought we were goal shy.
-
Yeah, don't go listening to that. It should have a health warning!
-
99.9% relegated. They just need to colour their position red, which will happen on Sunday.
-
It is. Swansea are relegated.
-
Well, that's killed Sky's grand finalie on Sunday. Absolutley nothing to play for at either end.
-
tbf he has been injured a fair bit this year. He was a regular for Blackburn.

That article has really depressed me. I know there are people who will say there are no club quotes, it’s not come from the club etc… but just read the way it's written.....it's been spoon-fed by the same patronising idiots who spoon-fed us the ''We wouldn't expect to lose our players to Everton, let alone the manager'' nonsense. I really hoped we'd learned our lesson. But going by that the fear is that we feel our ''success'' last night is justification of our approach. It's not. The reason we were in this position is because of our approach FFS. I noticed there are no references to the £19m ****ed up the wall on Carrillo. Are the club hoping we'll forget that one? Whoever keeps spewing out this patronising garbage needs to do one.

The weird thing is, I wasn't that nervous after we scored. I was more nervous before. It was probably because Swansea offered so little, we were barley under any attack after we scored. Their efforts were summed up in the 94th min when a long kick just went into the arms of Mccarthy.. It was a pretty comfortable closing out of the game to be honest.

I reckon they are a shoe-in to sign up Yaya Toure for a last pay day.
-
I think Gabbiadini is quite a reserved/shy type of character, so whilst it often looks like he's being ignored it's usually because he's not one to put himself forward. He's pretty well liked I'm sure, but he's just a very quiet guy.
-
He is an absolute ****. Look at how he ****ed around at WBA when he didn't get his move, then look at how he's ****ed around at Stoke when he hasn't been a 'regular'. He hasn't scored a goal in over 2 years. He needs to drop down to a lower league.

More club back-patting nonsense in that article.
-
Maybe we could strike a deal for Harry Reed....(one thing going for us, we have players like Gallagher/Targett etc who would be first picks for 90% of NPC teams)
-
He's just another Tadic really, but more capable of a random worldy. Not sure he's what we need either, I don't remember him being particularly quick - he's just another 'cut inside' type of player. We have enough of those! More than happy to leave him to Everton...
-
Not a huge fan if I'm honest. If we're going british go out there and get Evans. (£3m apparently). There are a couple of players in france who could fit the bill though. They both play for Toulouse....let's get them both.

I think in the main the last 4 transfer windows have been poor - for a start, failing to replace the gaping holes in the side (defence, striker) and then signing players who don't actually fit. The transfers since Ross has come in have all been a bit crap. Hopefully we will return to signing players at the Wanyama level - someone good enough to come straight in who has been a star in a lesser league. The likes of Hoj, Lemina, Gabbiadini - whilst good players, have come to us on the back of poor stints at their previous club and are looking to rebuild their career….. We've got the cash, so let's spend on proven players.
-
Leave Robert Huth to the promoted clubs. I'd hope we'd be aiming a lot higher....
-
It seems obvious that he just went stale there, he built a decent team for Stokes standards and got some accolades over the years he was there. They did ok with Pulis, but they wanted to evolve the club and take another approach and Hughes did just that. They’re ignoring that now, but he achieved decent stuff there. The recruitment coupled with a general malaise lead them to the situation they find themselves in. It's just typical of football fans to look at one aspect and blame it all on that, the fact is that they lost it in multiple area’s.

Having a hand in confirming West Brom's relegation is beyond sweet. Hate that club.
-
I agree, there are some decent options in the squad that have been poorly managed by two managers. It’s like some players have just had their confidence sucked out of them. Burnley have got European football with a team including the likes of Matt Lawton and Stephen Ward. Seriously. We do need some surgery across the team and some decent characters brought in (particuarly in defence), but I genuinely think that there is a decent base to work with and it doesn't require an entire sack them all and replace approach.
-
Congrats on your health - that's always more important!
-
Targett I guess depends on Ryan. We've also got Vokins in the background who is pretty highly thought of. I'd let Reed and Gallagher move on, neither of them have really stood out in poor championship teams.
-
I don't think anyone is forgetting about how bad we've been, it's just that suggesting to sell off 21 players from our first team squad, scrap our management team and entire football board in a 6 week period is just plain stupid.
-
Absolutley no chance we'd see that level of change over. Would be careless to do that as well.
