We only had 6 European games because Koeman achieved that for us the season before, it wasn't anything Puel achieved. I keep seeing this written by people ''Puel did a great job, got us further in Europe than before''. But that was only because Koeman got us 6th. Puel did as much as he could to **** up the group, and given it was a year when Inter were ****, it was a shambolic effort to not even get 2nd. The away games at Ber Sheva and Sparta were the thing of nightmares, and then you have the home game which was the most obvious ''let's not lose what we have' tactic ever.

He hasn't even been called up to their latest squad.
-
He's always been quite an injury prone player to be honest.
-
Yeah, a pretty ridiculous thing to say. Signing players really isn't what it's all about.
-
You've pretty much named them all right there. 5 out of 18 successful additions.
-
Talking of McCarthy, has he died? I hate the way our club just brush 'bad injuries' under the carpet. We never really knew what was up with him last year, he just disappeared. Seemingly it has happened again.
-
What should we have done then? So many experts on here who should be working for Premier League clubs seemingly.
-
Has it really? They've wasted a fair bit of $$ on crap. Jansen, Georges-Kévin N'Koudou, Clinton Njie (who has since been sold), Sissoko, Fazio (who has since been sold), Pau Lopez (left), Wimmer (they want rid), Yedlin (since sold), Stambouli (since sold) They have aquired 5 players out of the 17/18 they signed in that period who I consider first teamers and who have improved them since Mitchell has been there. Son, Toby, Victor, Dier and Ali. (Dier and Ali may have arrived before Mitchell had got there) So really, they have signed as many duds as other clubs in this league. But the black box is nothing more than a glorified database locked away in a room, we've spent a lot of time putting a lot of data into it i would imagine - so we possibly have the advantage over a few clubs in knowing more about a player before we sign them, but at the end of the day you can have all that kit and stats knowledge, but if the money isn't there to buy the players then it's a mute point.

Defrel was one I reckon.
-
And it happend. As expected. Apparently, this is all hear-say, but rumour has it that a Qatar source paid Neymar's representatives, who have then in turn paid Barcelona - the fee won't actually be seen as coming from PSG. Nasty, ugly, unfair world of football.
-
Missed the palace and Everton games, but yeah Burnley was ok....frustrating as you said, should have been many more than the 3. Hopeless finishing on show that day!

There were 3 home games last season worthy of an entry fee. Inter, Sparta and Leicester. Everything else we served up was garbage.

Still nothing really backing it up. You are assuming that during the years we were successful, Les Reed sat in a chair and twiddled his thumbs. Do you really believe that? It's a little dim to believe that NC did all this work, Les Reed would have had significant input in Staplewood, the development of the training facilities and was part of the scouting team who got us out of our difficult situation 3 summers ago I smell a bit of sarcasm in your post, where you're seemingly taking the **** out of the fee's we received for RL/CC/DL etc. Really? In what way was £16m not an utterly extraordinary fee for a player who has gone onto to do zilch? In what way was £5m-9m for Lambert not a terrific deal? Mane, Lallana, Lovren - all in excess of £20m, Mane closer to £40m. What was wrong with those negotiation skills? You have to realise that football has moved forward in terms of transfer frees over the last 2 windows, but the summer in which we received the fee's we did - in that current climate, they were top level fee's. There's no point comparing them to what clubs pay for players now, the goal posts changed. The black box is overcooked on here, and by the club to a degree. The manager will make recommendations, the club will look at all the information they have on those players and put together a formed opinion on who is right and who isn't, it's not just down the manager. It just seems to me as if people are just looking for someone to blame, looking for someone to attack. Not entirely sure why. You cannot just airbrush the good times and say he wasn't involved, and then all of a sudden when it becomes bad he is involved. It feels like he's slept with some of your wives given the amount of stick he gets.
-
Pretty much this. He must also know how himself/Liverpool have gone about this transfer is wrong, but he doesn't seem to care - unprofessionlism to the extreme.
-
Can I ask why you don't believe he gets any credit for anything pre-koeman? What is your basis for that statement? Make outlandish statements like that, you should be prepared to back it up strongly.
-
This whole Neymar situation will show exactly how player power rules the world. Even though this is against every Fifa/Uefa/Spanish regulation out there, I bet you it still happens as Neymar forces it through.
-
What, 1 and a bit games? Impossible to make any sort of judgement what so ever. I wouldn't say that he's a first team starter, but to call him 'crap' is just pathetic.
-
take away this forum and put in modern football fans, and you'll have it. Seemingly, if you don't cost lots of £££££££££££££ then you are ****.
-
Waffle.
-
We're irrelevant in the grand scheme, I've accepted that.
-
What a crappy piece of work he is. All because he wants to suck on Klopp, of which he decided when he was injured. Disgusting behavior from an employee to be honest.
-
I believe Tractor Saint to be honest, not one to make stuff up.
