  1. They've missed out on Rowett, QSF and O'Neill/Keane. They're going to end up with Paul Lambert and Megson apparently.
  2. Yeah but that's us. Champions of keeping injuries under wraps for no apparent reason what so ever.
  3. We do have the players, there is no doubt about that, but the fact we haven't beaten Swansea, Palace, Bournemouth, Huddersfield, Brighton, Watford, Newcastle, Stoke, Leicester says it all for me. Our start of the season was relatively straight forward, but we ****ed those points up the wall. Unless the manager has some sort of transplant over the next week then I cannot see how anything can change. The club can't admit they've failed AGAIN though, as it will go against their PR back slapping bull**** about how well run a club we are. We have been, but we have dropped an almighty bollock over the last 2 years and people should be accountable for that. To go from Top 6, playing Inter Milan and 60m+ (and now 75m+) in transfer profits to where we are now is nothing short of incompetent management at all levels. Heads should roll from top to bottom.
  4. But then we'll get the claptrap about our 2nd half being better, and how we are starting to perform based on the 2nd 45 etc. So it will just roll on, and on and on, and on...and on....
  5. Yeah, we are full of it. Lots of back patting going on, probably still, over the £75m for VVD. Whatever happens the fact we got 75m for VVD will seem a successfull season to the powers that be, our model is to buy low and sell high, if we achieve that - good stuff. Seemingly performance on the pitch is secondary. The fact we've had the 'chat' about him trying to re-align our expecations says it all to me. What is it that Ralph has on his desk? the 5 goals of the new owners or some clobtrap like that? Maybe he's having to change the wording and remove his references to single digits. He is the most unlikable bloke ever.
  6. Nothing serious, just a little strain apparentley.
  7. Babacar was rated highly a few years back, wonder what happened to him? He has the attributes we lack though in terms of height/power and pace, but I wouldn't expect us to be all over that. We're too fussed on bringing Theo back, which won't happen anyway. Then we'll re-sign Cacares on a free in Feb. As you can tell, I'm seriously angry with this club at the moment. The whole place just feels passive with absolutley no sense of urgency at any level. They all need a rocket up their backsides.
  8. Nothing will change. Priority will be to contain and defend, even though that tactic doesn't even work as we still conceed. Need the manager to grow some balls and throw Gabbiadini and Long up front, push Boufal and Tadic to the flanks and just go for it. But it won't happen, it will still be the same passive approach hoping it will click. it's too late now, we need to go for it. Nothing to lose. We lose if we defend, so we might as well attack.
  9. Why have you become a troll? Pretty sure you used to just be a normal poster. Not sure what makes people decide they want to sit on the interweb and wind people up, bit odd.
  10. That first goal sums up everything. He was looking forward, he had options to play it forward. But he stops, checks, turns around and tries to go back. But fails. If he'd taken a gamble and played it forwards, even if he'd have lost it, that goal wouldn't have happend. All this playing it safe and backwards is anything but.
  11. Just a tad OTT. Calm down.
  12. Starting to wonder if they're close to just accepting it. But that on it's own hisn't horrifying, it would be crazy if we weren't.
  13. I kind of feel sorry for the bloke. He looks absolutley lost. Someone needs to put him out of his misery.
  14. They changed their tactics, yes, and we decided to retreat. No proactive management in that 2nd half, we allowed Watford to build that head of steam and showed that we had no idea how to stop it.
  15. We brought it on ourselves, I'm not particularly fed up with this goal, just the way we played the 2nd half - and the fact that this handball is such an easy thing for the club to now hide behind and paly the ''woe be me'' card.
  16. I had a bit of misguided optimism, maybe. I thought Watford would have a quick start to the 2nd half, we'd needed to withstand that. We didn't, and he showed no proactive managerial skills to avoid what happend. Which was always the fear. 18 other PL teams would have won that game today. Feck it, even Watford would have managed to beat themselves today.
  17. Maybe it's a bit harsh on McCarthy, but that picture just makes it look a bit WTF. There wasn't much reaction from him either which is odd. Seemed dazed! Just the pure frustration of it all. It was the worst possible way that game could have ended for us, that handball makes the draw look harsh and it completley takes away how inept we were for 45mins. I hope there are certain figures who can look at an entire 45 rather than sit on the fence and say ''we were so close, it was an unlucky end''. We brought it all on ourselves.
  18. He's wumming.
  19. Clearly wumming. 2/10
  20. Feel the same, not too comfortable with those two at the back either. Need someone strong back there as they look lost when a team pressures us.
  21. Need a CB for me. Hoedt and Stephens, in fact Yoshida as well, are too similar. Hoedt and Stephens particularly, good on the ball, quite 'leggy' to watch and not strong or powerful enough. We need a beast of a CB to play alongside Hoedt, I'm upset the club don't feel the same and clearly haven't since last January. This is the clearest example of downgrading a team as you'll likely to see.
  22. Bit of a pansy post for me. Time to wake up I think. First half was ok, but we made the most of Watford not being there. Would have been a crime had we not won that 1st half. There was nothing to admire and certainly no improvements to see in the 2nd half. Crap has been happening all season, this isn't something new. We have failed to beat Watford, Huddersfield, Burnley, Stoke, and Swansea. Not through 'illegal goals' or 'crap luck', it's through being coached and tactically managed by someone who is so clearly out of is depth that it's painful to watch.
  23. I'd say it would be panic in October, but now, given that we've still only one 4 games - YES 4 GAMES - all season, it's not going to be panic. It will be thoroughly fair and deserved. Stealing a living springs to mind.
  24. What in living jesus is McCarthy doing for the 2nd? I mean come on, he's supposed to be a goalkeeper. How have we managed to lumber ourselves with two keepers who can't keep goal.
  25. 1st half fine, but the oppo were poor and handed it on a plate. but 2nd half he was once again out-managed by the oppo. They got the tactics right, changed up their shape and we were under an absolute onslaught for 45 mins. I could never see a team withstanding that amount of pressure, and we didn't. Handball or not, it probably should have been 2-2 before then. He isn't proactive, he is reactive and passive. Just like the team. There is something fundamentally wrong with his philosophy.
