I have been generally impressed by what i've seen to be honest. In total control against Utd, great passing and rention. In the last few years, you've looked at these games and not really seen anyone to get you excited - but there are a few in this setup now who look players - Valery, Fella, Jones, Hesketh and Reed seem to have come on as well. I expect to see these guys in and around the group in the cup games.

Sounds like exactly the sort of player we'd sign to be honest, development potential and raw ability - would probably only initially be a squad player, but could develop into a star.

The whole Fonte situation has been odd though, complete shut door from the club on him. We love making a big deal out of stuff, but to not even have an interview with your European winning captain rang alarm bells. I don't think he's even been put forward for post-match or pre-match. Why was it a gamble? We clearly knew what we'd get from him and knew we could develop him. I wish people would stop playing the ''We got lucky'' card, because we didn't. We got there because of solid planning, good scouting and excellent coaching. There's nothing lucky about it.
