The first one, by a country mile.

I try not to read too much into these early season games, but compared to last season we were much better. The score line may still say 0, but there was intent for 90mins and this is definitely a game you can file under ''one of those afternoons''. We'd have won that game at a canter if we'd got that early goal. Our pressing was noticeable, we pressed in units in different areas of the pitch which 'locked' swansea in a lot of the time. This then allowed us to quickly win the ball back and break on them. Our finishing was wasteful as hell though, especially Gabbiadini. Hopefully he gets his sharpness back for next week...! As he's usually pretty clinical. For me, apart from the fact it was 0-0, there isn't a great deal to complain about from that. We pressed high, passed the ball well, moved it quickly in and around the box and used the width really well at times - it was so much improved from last season, anyone could have seen that. Onto next week...

Ah, poor old Liverpool. Already losing.

Talk about karma. Markus is having a good old giggle on our behalf up there....

Kevin Wimmer.

Vietto has been told he can leave Atleti fwiw. Although only for a fee, not a loan. May be something we're monitoring in the back ground. I certainly wouldn't be against that as a swap.

I hate the modern player. They're trying to sign players for the club now, why is that their job? Knuckle down, get back fit and start playing again. And all this crap about ''I've been injured for a while and it's let me reflect'' - go and do one, is this a new thing now? Use the clubs facilities to get fit but then plot your move away once they get you fit. Whiny, sulky, multi-million pound **** heads.

What's a long-term loan when it's at home? 2 years? don't often see those in england.

I've already seen Alpines new name for him. Jan Bedracrap.
-
Has JWP slept with your missus or something?

Les Reed...mistakes made in VVD situation...and moving on

If there is one thing you could have guaranteed from this post is that Alpine would be in full agreement with it. Job done. -
Sad news - sorry to hear that. Dog's are family.

Which we never, ever actually made use of. Only Saints.
-
I notice Les stopped short of saying that this time........

Thought it was Boufal at 16m? The days of Rory Delap are long gone.
-
I won't admit to knowing too much about him, but going by some of the articles i've read.....it's like they've put together our wish list in a midfielder and put it into him. Will be interesting to see if that is the case!
-
He is a ******, always has been. Quite a nasty piece of work by all accounts.

Nice, good news! When that tweet came in and it was ''@LeminaM_13 on a''....i read it quickly and thought for a second it was a 13 year contract...! I thought we'd gone fully mental for a second. 5 year is sound though.

I'm not sure what mistakes he has made. What you suggest in terms of agents is out of the clubs control - and any club to be honest. Players are free to go with whoever they want, unless there is a law coming in that I don't know of, this won't change. -
Secret telephone conversation from VVD to his Agent.
S-Clarke replied to Secret Site Agent's topic in The Saints
Bit odd. I thought this was a huge scoop and a phone hack for a second. shame. -
Tapping up goes on though, generally speaking. I wouldn't be surprised if his agent or himself spoke to City or Chelsea, that wouldn't surprise me to be honest. What Liverpool did was a lot more orchestrated and in my eyes they went over the line of 'standard' tapping up. They manipulated our player, made promises and guarantees to a player who wasn't under contract with them, weakened our selling position and have now left us with a very unhappy captain. As I said earlier, if we have evidence, throw it to the PL - nothing to hold back on. Then sell him to City or Chelsea.

I reckon McCarthy has got another serious season-ending injury. Then we have Taylor....... Gazzaniga seemingly off, Lewis on loan at Dundee. Hopefully whoever it is is good enough to push for a place himself and not just fill a position on the bench like Hassen did.
-
Why would they need another career anyway? By the time they hang up, anyone who has played at a decent level is a millionaire. They can buy up some property, go into pudintry, coaching. It's a short career, yes, but it's very well paid and much more than I'll get in my entire 50 year career. To be honest, if VVD was told today that he'll never play again, he'll still end up a millionaire.

I guess you're relating to the period at the end of the season where he went out to Duabi for fitness training? (With our physio staff i might add)

Are these sizable bids, or loans etc? Obviously not looking for someone to dispose of Forster as number 1?
