Gerrard was a top quality player, one of my favourites, but I cringe watching him these days. It's so sad to watch as he's so ineffective and is an accident waiting to happen in the position he's in. It's all about sentiment for the Liverpool lot, but I honestly think the continuing perseverance of Gerrard will hold them back. It's about them as a club being stronger than the individual, but we all know what will happen. A club who live in the past.

Yeah, I think at the time we were linked he was at Torino? (seen as a key player for them). And Arsenal did seem favourites at some points. Not sure why he's had little impact at A.Madrid, but it's clear that there's an interest from us. If he's available, why not? I assume we'll be speaking to A.Madrid a bit in January anyway!

Yeah, ususal Rickie play there. Did well in a little caemo. This was probably Rickie's swansong though. Gives it a nice even ending, seeing that his debut was against Scotland and a year later his final game is against them.

If it was known that both Davis and Fonte weren't staying, they would have left for sure. and not to Cardiff. What are you suggesting, that he's not that good and only Cardiff wanted him? No, the fact is that Cardiff were the only ones stupid enough to try as it was pretty obvious he didn't want to leave and we didn't want to sell - same with Davis.
