Gone past caring about getting anything back for the ****. Just make sure he doesn't drain our wage bill any more is what I say.

Sky Sources: New 5 Year Contract offered to Jay Rodriguez
S-Clarke replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
He has recovered, fully. He's just got to get his fitness back now, and build up the muscle tissues around the knee. That's it. His knee injury recovered and healed fine. -
True. I'm frustrated with Gaston personally, but there's something in there that is hard to just write off. Got no issues with sacking off Osvaldo and getting no money, but would be keen to see how Gaston responds. Probably his last chance, if he fails to make an impact this year then he's probably got no future here.
-
Apparently not from what I was told today. The club have no idea where he is as he's not responding to them, they're having to go via the agent. Personally I'd sack him for breach of contract and have done with it. Utterly horrendous human being.

I see Alpine is out on his own once again,
-
I know people will say ''Well, Zidane smoked'' - yeah, but he did it on the pitch. He could do what he wanted....because he was spectacular at his job. Jack has fitness problems, injury problems and form problems. Surely he should be spending time training and keeping himself in top shape? That's what annoys me when I see him acting like that. He could have been a great player, but will now put into the same bracket as ''could have been good, but never made it''. Utter waste of a player.

Sky Sources: New 5 Year Contract offered to Jay Rodriguez

It's an interesting tactic, I can't remember seeing a new contract leak into the media like this before? New contracts with us are announced on our OS - that's when we know about it. Seems a tactic used to put the ball in Jay's court, the club have clearly been forced to act upon significant interest. His rehabilitation is going much better than expected fwiw, should be back October time. -
Until we have replacements, then you do not sell Fonte. Fact. Still not quite feeling the ''poor the year before''. He wasn't bad, he was a regular and grew into the side as the season went on. He struggled with the pace of it all as did everyone else at the start, but he learned, got better and stronger. He's now a fully tried and tested PL defender, and with or without Lovren he's a damn fine player. We're just setting yourselves up for another Makin - Bennett style combo on the opening day.
-
Wouldn't even take that. What would it leave us with? Yoshida and Jos. Enough to make you **** your pants at the thought of it. Buy 2x better CB's in the De Vrij mould, and then we can conciser selling our current CB's.
-
No, you're pretty much wasting your time all being told. He's a regular in a PL team. He's not going to come back to the NPC. Surely you have more worthwhile targets to be spending your time on?

Kenyan international duty.

It's a shame that all of his tweets are utter rubbish. Safe to file this in the tosh bin.
-
It's not really a job though, is it? They get paid millions a year to kick a ball about with their mates, whilst gaining global stardom and global sponsorship. I certainly wouldn't be miffed at having to go back to ''work'', that's not work to me...
-
I'm sure it was either Guan 2.0 or Monk who said it, but Cork will sign a new 2 year contract in the next two weeks.
-
Lazio are a big club, but if we were the only other club in for him...you'd think that the pull of the PL and the fact we have Koeman would be enough to entice him. And I'm sure we can offer a little more $$!
-
This is not me being bitter as I truly appreciate how good Lambert and Lallana were for us - but you just have to look at the players Arsenal are signing, Man Utd, Chelsea.....Fabregas, Luis, Sanchez, Shaw, Herrera, Zouma - they are all on a different planet in terms of quality, and it shows that Liverpool are still shopping for sloppy seconds. They've sold their 1 world class player, and are replacing him with decent, but average (overpriced) young attacking players. It will not work. (re quote this at the end of the season if they win the league, and I will admit defeat!)
-
That sort of thing has to be arranged well in advance, Koeman has only been here a few weeks - this Belgium trip is a rushed job, spare of the moment. Nothing could be organised prior to this because of the summer of uncertainty. Not sure what else you expect. Also, why would we release Mayuka on a free when he still has 2/3 years remaining on his contract and cost us £4.5m? If we did want to ship him off, we'd still recoup at least half I'd think. I still don't really believe he's ever had any sort of opportunity here, grossly mismanaged - but you do worry about his lack of impact in France last year. Worth a look though.
-
Have you ever made a post that makes any sense? Isn't it time for your weekly waffle thread?
-
Just said to expect 4-5 more, and that De Vrij was a target - but is off to Lazio. He confessed that he felt the club set their sights too high.
-
Lol. What a load of unsubstantiated tosh. How did that **** make it into an article?
-
Ah debuchy, easy to get those 2 mixed up, I guess. Well done Mirror lol.
-
eh? he's already their player and they got him on a free a year ago???? #confused.
-
The problem we have though, is where does he play? Got more than enough in that position. I imagine Palace are just spending what is available to them, what with the TV deal etc.
-
Jos isn't that good ffs.
