Can't see us getting anything at Liverpool either way, but reckon we have a decent chance of beating the Baggies at home in the 2nd game - even with the squad we have now. Gelling is quite often used as a myth and an excuse, i remember Burley using it a lot. If the players are good enough and the manager is good enough, he should be able to get results from them - or know a way to integrate them into a team.

And a top striker. Giroud is alright, but nothing special. And their only other real backup to him is Sanogo, who is ****.

I don't think he's been a regular for long enough yet, to command the sort of commitment and large fee. Give him a year and he'll go for £30m or so.

At the end of the day, this is how I see it. - The club know we need players - we know we need players - we might not get them tomorrow, or next week, or the week after - but we will sign more players before the window shuts. - Patience is needed, but I think we'll get there in the end.

Way too early to say either way. Norwich were tipped to finish above us last year as they had an amazing window, or something. Players don't always work out for whatever reason, on paper they are good additions - as are ours, but not all will be a success. Need to see who we bring in before going on a negative rampage about how they'll finish above us in 10 months time.

Total change of attitude there, actually going out and signing proven talent - rather than just young players. Will push them right back into contention.

He was linked with us a few weeks back wasn't he? Very versatile player, can operate in a number of positions - namely right sided though. Probably not really a position we need to focus on, but N'castle are doing some good business for sure.

Saw that on goal earlier, I think he'd be a truly amazing addition - someone mentioned him a few weeks back when he was playing at the WC and I laughed it off, said he'd be well out of our remit - so if we do pull it off, fair play...and it would kind of show that we've not pulled back on any ambition, as he would be a massive upgrade on anything we have. Kill 2 birds with 1 stone as well, bank £50m for the sales of Shaw and Lovren, and spend £15m on this kid to replace both (With Matty as the backup/rotation option)......not bad business! Still plenty of change to spend on another CB too.

You never start high though, go in at a respectable level (7.5m for Forster is pretty respectable) and negotiate there after.

Would be too sound additions - happy with both of them. Redmond would be brilliant in a Koeman side IMO. Tadic one side, Redmond the other, Pelle up top - could be quite tasty.

Never really did it for England. He was at his best for L'pool when Surrounded by proper world class talent in Alonso and Mascharano. He's not a bad player, don't get me wrong, just very over-hyped on the international stage.

Can't say I'm too enthralled by Guidett's injury record. He had a severe illness (which affected all the nerves in his legs) and he's never really been the same since. A loan would be OK, wouldn't be parting with £6m big ones for him though.

People half make a load of crap up just to make their point sound more dramatic. Why do that? It's because they don't believe their point is dramatic enough otherwise, therefore confirmation that they are going OTT. What people can't see to grasp is that we had quite a unique situation, a club like ours quite often has 1 top class player who is sought after - but Lovren, Morgan, Lallana, Shaw - top, top level quality players who are wanted by the elite all at the same time. What can we actually do about that? Ensure we get the best possible fee and move on....if you start blocking bids and rejecting bids as many here are proclaiming, then you get the terrific interviews appearing in the press from the Lovrens and the like. Is that what you want? We're not a big club, I don't care what anyone says or what anyone has bought over the last few years. We will never, ever make the champions league - our club isn't big enough for it, and if we ever did push for it, we'd likely end up in a right old mess. We're a provisional club on the South Coast, who have managed to gather a group of amazingly talented players. I'll throw this out there as this will screw a few arguments. Last season there were approaches rejected for Morgan (Napoli I believe), and NC said to give it one more year and then he'd be allowed to leave, as bigger clubs would want him. Trust me, NC knew exactly what was going to happen - and he got off like a shot as soon as the interest starting gathering momentum. It's ended up exactly how he wanted, he looks like some sort of messiah who held it all together and the new lot look like a bunch of weak sellers - but it's not the case, what's happening now would have happened under him as well. People do say that he wouldn't sell, but during his tenure one Top 4 club came in for one of our players - what happened? He left for Arsenal. You cannot stand in a players way if an elite club comes calling. We're just victims of our own success.

Sloppy seconds indeed. They seem to be filling their squad up with average for some random reason. In the hope that a bunch of average/decent players can replace 1 world class player - won't happen.

Our midfield area is pretty strong to be honest, if there's one area that could absorb a sale it's the midfield area. Not that I want us to lose anyone, but we'd still be pretty competitive in there.

And let's not forget Sinclair.
