Fair assumption. The good thing is with such a long contract, his value is still only going to rise at the moment. The club held all the cards this summer with this one, and they used it. God knows what happened with the other 5 though!

Because Shane Long cost £12m, McGoldrick will cost £8m. Fee's mean nothing anymore. No reflection on the ability of the player or the stature. As I said with Long, ignore the fee...just look at what he'd bring us as a player.

You're trying to justify your displeasure at him being here, by stating that he has won 2 titles in two different countries. Must try harder. If there is a single person out there in our fan base who has question marks/disappointment at Komean being our manager then I suggest they re-evaluate their expectations.

He signed a long-term one last year, it expires in 2017.
