To be fair to that one, I don't think any club has seen enough of him to put a bid in as yet (to the level they want). Give him another year and he'll be gone though. If there was a serious bid this summer, he wouldn't be there IMO.
-
The thing is, if we cannot convince 7 first team players that their future is here, how the bloody hell are we going to get any decent signings over the line? Near on impossible, so expect loans and random south americans for knock down fees.
-
And not just some random loans and risky South Americans either. We need signings at the level of Classie, Rojo, Forster to even start to redeem some of the fans support.
-
Soon it'll be ''Little we can do if PL clubs come knocking'' and then followed by.....''Little we can do if NPC clubs come knocking''..... Unfortunately it seems as if we've started a very accelerated drop.
-
It's players of his teams and the dutch team he was part of.
-
Would be good to see any rumour of substance right now, anything. Just something. Please. (and if we're going down the loan route after recouping £150m, then I've had it)
-
We don't need any more statements Minty. We need actions now, new players and lots of them, fast. and new contracts for Fonte and Cork - that's what we need, not more waffle about how we are ditermind to keep the squad together etc. They've lied to us before and will lie to us again, no matter how we ask.
-
More worried by Monks latest post tbh. He's even lost faith!
-
It's happening.
-
Don't really want to believe what I was told the other day, but I was told that he is seriously considering his position. Make of that what you will.
-
Will probably be someone like Harry Kane or Tom Carrol.
-
What point are you actually trying to make?
-
Peach is fine, knows his stuff. Crook is the one with the joke tag.
-
We're not even selling to elite clubs anymore. Won't be long before the likes of Cardiff and Stoke get Cork and Fonte.
-
Yes, that time i didn't re-write it.
-
If we actually sell an injured player, then I think it may be time for protests. Something is up, big time.
-
And I'm sure he turned to Cortese for advise. He needs help. He is drowning. He has lost control of the situation.
-
He has, no denying that. But he is utterly out of his depth and on his own in his current role, he either needs some help or needs to go.
-
That is the plan. I was told months ago that the plan was to offset the sales with youth team players, with a few signings here and there to baulk the squad. We'll see, but it's looking like the case.
-
Unfortuntley that is a true statement.
-
That's also my worry. The message going out there at the moment is that we are a club in crisis, turmoil, or whatever way you want to spin it. I hope the club are prepared to overspend a little on wages/fees to get players over the line, as that's probably what will need to happen to appease their decisions right now. From the outside we look a rudderless mess.
-
I give you that with Lallana, or Shaw - big players, going for big fees to get big money and to be stars at their new elite clubs. Chambers is different. He will be a squad player at Arsenal, and in my opinion - as a club who finished 8th last season, we shouldn't find ourselves having to sell our best players to become squad players at other clubs. This is a transfer too far as it didn't need to happen. Another year could have been easily sorted out here, but there is clearly very little determination once the $$$$ fly in front of KL's eyes.

Can't believe the prices were put up, tbh.
