  1. The media are going somewhat OTT, but they're lapping it up, as we're rolling over and having our belly tickled. I tell you what, that cluster**** of an interview Hans gave back in Feb was nothing short of a nightmare. He opened the floodgates for all of this.
  2. I refuse to believe that he's even an option. It's just his agent lauding his client around.
  3. Simon Peach.
  4. #LFC told #SaintsFC the deal for Lambert went through before World Cup or forget it. With Rickie wanting to go, club felt they had no choice
  5. Charm offensive. Oh, and our first team players for next season were playing.
  6. I don't think you can hold it against him in a personal way, but I do agree that as a club we have allowed him to become the player he has - he's grown with us, as much as we've grown with him. As much as we have a lot to thank him for, he will also have a lot to thank us for. You don't often get a player and a club matching so well at the right time, but that's what happened. It's been a true match made in heaven for the last 5 years, perfect fit for us all the way. I just don't think I'll be able to handle seeing him in another clubs kit though! Just plain odd.
  7. We're calm and doing what is best for our fantastic fanbase. etc.
  8. This is pretty pants to be honest. No one looks any good.
  9. I must admit, it will be so, so, so odd to see Lambert playing for another team. Just plain downright weird.
  10. Or until he has a good enough season whereby we can sell him. But he won't play for us again. He's earning too much for a start.
  11. If we wanted to get into Europe, we would keep the team together and add 1 or 2. We're not intent on doing that, so any ideas or statements about Europe is just PR waffle for the fans to lap up. We are in the midst of a fire sale, or board are seemingly inept at everything - so at this moment in time, the future looks atrocious.
  12. Does anyone? It's like everything is being handled by work experience kids.
  13. Nice to see the club are on the ball. An incredibly transparent outfit we have.
  14. It does kind of remind me of how McGoldrick was promoted those years ago. Never ready, never quite good enough, but we sold all our experienced players and relied on him. That ended well. All we need now is a dutch manager talking about the boysh.
  15. Contracts have been withdrawn for both. They were on the table. Fonte is next out of the door, apparently.
  16. No Southampton players starting, never mind.
  17. Craig Mackail-Smith. Would be a good partnership with Billy Sharp IMO.
  18. I feel that RK is the spokesman, that's all he's been appointed for. He's there to take the hits, he's there to take the flak, whilst the others run around in the background ripping everything up. I'm sad that we felt the need to appoint someone like him when we had John Williams knocking at our door. RK is sure a clown, but you also need to look at who is making the calls behind him. The entire place is a mess.
  19. Yakin has joined CSKA (apparently, will be announced tomorrow)
  20. But then was stuck in a relegation battle all year - with Valencia eventually finishing 15th I think. and they finished bottom of the CL group.
  21. I didn't quote what exactly was said, but more or less what was inferred - which was the case. Was mentioned in the full Solent interview, and as above on the echo. He would be made to look a clown if Rickie does go and we don't have a manager.
  22. And played for them too! Managed Ajax, Benfica, PSV, Valencia, AZ, Feyenord - not bad. By all accounts though, his time at Valencia and AZ was awful - sacked from both clubs. Feyenord picked him up when his stock was at his lowest, although he's done a lot to redeem himself there. Good enough name and would have plenty of contacts. So we'll have to see. Not sure I'd be able to go back to hearing someone with a Dutch accent talking about the 'young boyesh'' again though. Flash backs.
  23. Ronald Koeman seems to be the fancied one....being backed very heavily. What's everyone's thoughts on him?
  24. Well, we do need a big name incoming to deflect from the big-name outgoings.... but I can't see us signing a manger who is currently at a club, reckon it will be an unattached foreign manager myself.
  25. See, this is a little OTT. And what do demonstrations actually achieve anyway? They will do what they want, we have no say no matter what we do. Pointless exercise, and a bit OTT at the moment!
