  1. To be honest, he did nothing in an incredibly poor Sochaux side to add any weight to the idea that he can make any sort of impact for us. He'll probably float off to a lower league somewhere.
  2. And if he goes, everyone will be sold, and no one will be signed? FWIW he looks long gone to me.
  3. Chambers to Spurs for £23m One thing I've gathered from this so far is that Grey is a popular t-shirt colour.
  4. He's one of ours.
  5. Wouldn't read anything to MP not being there today. Omar isn't what I'd call a first team player as yet, more of an U21 player. Players that sign extensions who are part of the FT (i.e Gallagher) will have MP with them.
  6. Quite interesting, seeing as Hodgson has said he wanted any transfer stuff sorted before the the world cup, that's quite a statement. Would at least indicate that clubs have tried, but haven't reached agreement with us and that the door is closed for now to allow him to focus on the WC. Would imagine clubs are baulking at the £30m or so, as he's not been proven at the top level yet - so I reckon a decent enough world cup will be enough for plenty of clubs to come knocking and probably match our asking price. So at least it seems as he will be one of ours at the WC.
  7. He's not a very good premier league defender though, decent at best but prone to errors and misjudgements on a regular basis. Chelsea are even deploying him in a CM role rather than CB these days. But I do agree that the PL transfer market is a wacky place, and we're well within our right to demand insane fee's for any of our players - and that may even work in our benefit, as who knows, we could be left with an entire team come august.
  8. David Luiz is in the process of completing a £40m (40 million FFS) transfer to PSG. (what the hell has he done to suggest he's worth that?). So...I would say Lovren should command at least £50-60m + if that's the level of money being ****ed about.
  9. Neither, all 3 complete and utter dross at this level. We need to avoid filling our squad up with dross, as it will only drag us down. Shola has scored 9 goals in 3 seasons, utterly pointless player. We need to avoid sweeping up the released players from our neighbours in the league as well, if he's not good enough as a squad player for NUFC, he's not good enough for us full stop.
  10. It's clear he's off tbh.
  11. I thought it was only 1? Lambert?
  12. Do you know when the big opportunity was actually missed? 15th Feb, 2014. We ****ed away a chance to actually win something, in favour of the race to finish 8th. The manager and most of the players are all being linked with big clubs for big money, so as we all knew - we have a hell of a lot of class here, so ****ing away the chance to win something with what will be our best 11 in decades is the opportunity that was missed.
  13. I think one of those 2 would have helped stabilise things a little (Williams, preferably). But KL wanted to do it her own way, I must admit I'm a bit nervous as people involved with different sports coming into football hasn't ended well in history. I know we've all had our own experiences with a certain Rugby coach. From what I've seen so far, the board is coming over as very naive, esp. RK. He's obviously a talker, someone who rally's the troops with a good old fashioned speech, I imagine he's got 'inspirational speaker' somewhere on his CV - but you need more than that in football directorship, he's not a coach any more - he's the director of a football club, and some of the comments he has come out with are incredibly ill-advised. I think as a club (Fans/players) - we want to know the plan, the talk so far has just been waffle - nothing really said that means anything. RK's speech at the players awards was the most pointless piece of waffle I've ever heard....so I can sense the frustrations, and I can sense the agitation as we just wait....and wait......but it's too early for a full blown meltdown, let's just sit tight for a little longer and wait to see the actions. As the always say, actions speak a hell of a lot louder than the words spoken.
  14. No they're not.
  15. That's pretty impressive. So pleased for Fonte and the fact that he's grown so much the past year, he should be going to the world cup too IMO.
  16. We're not telling them to **** off in clear terms though, that's the problem. Apparently we don't need to sell, yet our door is open for bids and clubs/agents know this. If it carries on this way, we'll be losing more than Luke and Adam - that's for sure.
  17. This is what will happen though, the board have kind of played their hand and showed a bit of neivity - so every club will be testing the water, as we have so many good players. They should not have publicly come out and said ''We've inherited a bad financial situation'' and ''we will start discussions with clubs at the end of the season'' - as that basically says, we're open for business. Come and talk to us, welcome to the South Coast fire sale. Pathetically nievee and has set the tone for the entire summer. That's why I'm kind of happy that the club keep quiet until there's something to announce, as everything they've said so far has either been PR Guff or an own goal of the highest order.
  18. Ah jesus, this brings back memories. Welcome back.
  19. He's been sounded out, IMO, and his head has been turned. Does make you think though, even Man City...with all their mega riches and a PL title, are at risk of losing one of their best players.
  20. All he says is what other people say. He doesn't know anything himself.
  21. He has already said he doesn't want to leave the EPL, so it's Spurs or no where IMO.
  22. "None of them shook his hand on his birthday. It's really sick," Seriously, what the actual ****. Is this what it's coming to????
  23. Bit strange, obviously some sort of restructuring. I must admit, I didn't follow the academy in the league this year...but I don't think we won it, or won a cup. Maybe, with what we're churning out (shaw/bale/chambo/adam) the ambition within the club is that we should be leading the way results wise too? Obviously, academy results are often secondary to progress of the individuals...but maybe the club are that short sighted in this! Who knows, doubt we'll even know the full reasons - but seems as if JD is being amicable enough about it.
  24. The fact it's silent doesn't mean nothing is going on, by the way. So just take a break for a few weeks....enjoy the W/C and come back to our NPC level squad in august.
