Is that just because he's dutch, and looks slightly similar?
-
He's the sort of player that is easy to defend against, once you know his strengths and most importantly his weaknesses. As people have said, pretty much a one trick pony, if he was any good he'd have made a real name for himself at Spurs after his early impact - but the fact he's now surplus kind of confirms they've sussed him too. But to be honest, the way this summer could go....he's another body we could put on the pitch!
-
Realistically, Sigurdsson would be a great addition for us.....if as expected, Morgan does leave, he'd be a nice replacement. Not like for like as such, but would add to the side.

See, I'm not quite sure Reed deserves this kind of strong criticism at the moment. He was brought here by NC and has overseen our rise as much as anyone else, so he's clearly been involved in some good decisions along the way. The fact he has been given more involvement is possibly somewhat worrying, and indicative of our naive board, but from where I'm standing he's the last person I'd put the blame and I would argue that he's earnt a little bit of trust from the supporter base, after-all, he has been involved in a lot of good over the last 5 years.

Maybe spurs are having a firesale too. Spurs are also ready to off-load Nacer Chadli, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Lewis Holtby and Michael Dawson this summer. Hugo Lloris and Roberto Soldado both likely to go for major transfer fees, while the futures of Jan Vertonghen, Etiene Capoue and Paulinho are all up in the air.

He wouldn't leave for anything other than CL football, imo.

Ticks all the boxes for me. high profile, stock is high - talented manager, has always been focused on youth development and youth progression. Would raise the commercial profile of the club abroad, which is what the club seem to be bothered about. And the most important thing, he is leaving his current club and has openly admitted he wants to manage in the PL. There are no other options in the PL right now, it's kind of a no brainer for all in my opinion.

Agent waffle, that one.
-
I reckon it's Koeman.
-
Don't forget, Billy Sharp is still a contracted saints player for a further 12 months.
-
His arsenal transfer is all but done apparently.
-
I feel so flat right now. Just defeated. He was the one player I didn't see going.

Adam Blackmore @bigadamsport · 16h Had a genuinely warm moment with Rickie Lambert - he was emotional when he came to say goodbye & I wished him the best from all #saintsfc

Not just that though, I don't think I'm being OTT here - but this kind of potential dismantling and complete gutting of the club could send us on a 1 way ticket back to the lower leagues. Momentum is everything in football, that is seemingly being ripped away from underneath us as we speak. Birmingham almost went, wolves had 2 successive relegations - it's possible that by 2016/17 we could be back at square 1 if we're not careful. Someone needs to get a grip on this situation now and fast.

It takes quite a lot of talent to destroy the heart of a club after it's most successful PL season, but this is a pretty talented board by all accounts.
-
We're being run my amateurs, pretty clear to anyone.
-
Not a good start. Replacing your star left back with a Swansea squad player, as that's all he is. Never really recovered from his injuries.
-
Why the hell would we want Garcia? What would appeal to anyone? He's utter dross, failed at Brighton and simply an unproven NPC manager. I'm still certain this is agent driven tosh, I know the board at the club leave a lot to be desired but I cannot see them being this stupid. It would just be incomprehensible. After Yakin and Koeman have simply flashed about their availability, and then we go and get Garcia instead. Yeah, don't buy it.
-
Look after him.
-
Heard an odd rumour that he may have to retire???
-
18ish million actually.
-
He clearly is worth that and much more besides. In this day and age and being English, he is worth more than that. Andy Caroll - £35m. Jordan Henderson - £20m Joleeon Lescott - £25m
-
Ben Smith @BenSmithBBC · 8m Brendan Rodgers also hopeful of signing Alberto Moreno, Dejan Lovren and Emre Can in the next fortnight So it's pretty clear that our Dejan will be off too, either Spurs or L'pool, and after he publicly said he's happy to stay. This is a fire sale, no other way to call it. We're ****ed.

Brian Mcdermott.
