They've appointed Gary Monk. He is their manager for the foreseable.
-
It's on their OS, official. Gary Monk is their new manager.

http://www.swanseacity.net/news/article/ml-leaves-1340293.aspx Confirmed. Gary Monk takes over. What the actual ****? Relegated I reckon...

To be fair, it won't matter what we say. If the family want to start selling our best players off and reduce financial support (there's no evidence of that yet though tbf) then he'll be off, no matter how much or how loud we sing his name! This summer will be quite interesting for us. It would be nice to have everything put to bed post match after Utd...but I won't hold my breath.

Owen's selection doesn't exactly help his punditry career.
-
Their academy is a non-event. Take Josh McCercharan +sp for example, hailed as the next big thing...and look handy in a few first team apps for them, and has since found himself floating around in the championship. Gail Kukuta is also a real talent, but they just don't want to give him a chance. They'll probably sell him for nothing and buy him back in a couple of years for £40m or something, ala matic.
-
Yeah, he looks handy. But Inter aren't anything special these days, just a mid-table Serie A team. Miles off anything.
-
It was mentioned earlier that the Juve staff are not happy with his fitness situation, so are putting him through extra sessions before he even features.

The transfer of Osvaldo? "We wanted to seize those opportunities that were conjugation of technical and economic advantages, free loan and the player has drastically reduced salary. The right of full transfer set in 19 million is quite uncertain, we want to evaluate how he will adapt to the environment then we will see if we have the time and interest to acquire the player. The goal was to raise competition in the squad. This was an opportunity that we should not lose Sounds like they have absolutely no intention of keeping him for good, well not at that price at least.

What you did as a teenager in southampton in the 90's
S-Clarke replied to Batman's topic in The Lounge
jeez, I can almost relate to all of those. Wasn't a teenager in the 90's, but all of those were still pretty big parts of my childhood! Sega Park was awesome! -
1-1, gifted goal. Toure is their weaklink without a doubt. Horrendous defender these days.
-
'Sundays other games' now I guess. But Liverpool are beating WBA in probably the most silent stadium I've ever heard.
-
Always felt he was carrying an injury since his last england call-up tbh.
-
Shock horror... http://www.football-italia.net/44701/conte-orders-osvaldo-regime I give them 2-3 weeks to suss out that he's not worth £14m. There's no way they'll sign him.
-
''We're all absolutely loving working under such a world class manager....'' Does make you wonder just how many would start to leave if MP did go in the summer.
-
Would be a silly signing for them. they still have Cech, and also Courtois will be back next year - one of the finest young keepers in the world.
-
We've been looking at him apparently, as a replacement for Boruc. Didn't realise he's only just turned 26 either.
-
It's not, but never mind.
-
wtf @ arsenal by the way? They signed Kim Kalsltrom to cover injuries, but discovered he himself was injured during the medical - yet still signed him They've now announced that he's out for 6-8 weeks. Seriously, what the actual ****?
-
Apparently Cork wasn't 100% to start the match.
-
Totally agree, he has been unbelievably good this year. Looks such a good player. Makes it even more satisfying to know that he's come all the way with us. For all you can say about Pard's, we have to say thanks for bringing in Jose and Lambo.
-
Also a note for Chambers, who I think is utter class. Won't go to this world cup, but will be an England international in time.
-
I thought it was quite odd that he was thrown straight in, but apparently Corky wasn't 100%, so that's fair. But he was rusty, gave the ball away a hell of a lot....but Morgan was worse in that first half! Cork is so class though, as soon as he came on in that 2nd half we got to grips with that midfield and passed our way around them. I'd love to find a way to accommodate Wanyama, Morgan, Cork and Davis in the same midfield...but with our set-up, that's not possible...so there will be some touhg decisions from time to time. But Wanyama is class, during the first half of the season he was one of our better players and in some games was utterly unplayable. This is easily the best midfield we've had in my lifetime.
-
Stoke will be a tougher test than Fulham who are, let's be honest, utter turd. Will be nice to start clocking up the home wins again though. Today's results have made the top half of the league quite interesting, Newcastle are now pretty catchable - seeing as we have to play them at home ourselves.
