Big deal. Unfortunately the fact that he's a nut job will prevent him from showing any real quality over any period of time for anyone. I hope we sell him, but have the feeling that we'll be stuck with him as Clubs simply won't take the gamble, he's not worth it. Hopefully there's an equally nutty manager and chairman out there...

Ah yes, two amazing signings by Norwich. Van Wolfswinkel is set to move them to the next level and overtake us, as we are so slow and ponderous. Norwich just get the signings done. What a player RVW is as well, unreal season. Such a missed opportunity, that 1 goal he's scored could well have been the difference for us.

Just having a little purple patch, but he's not worth spending money on. We have Gallagher who is kind of that type of player anyway, so I can't see the club buying someone as average as Wickham when we have a young kid ready to come up....
-
What quality is that exactly?
-
Marshall is a realistic shout, a club like Arsenal wouldn't be mad going for someone like him. Not entirely sure Snodgrass or Adam Johnson would add anything to us, 2 very bog-average players who would slow us down - kind of the last type of player we need. The Dinpro guy will be at Liverpool come the summer, so a no go there. Borini is a lively little player though, if available at the right price he could become that little poacher in the box for us.

We'd be lucky to get anything, so take what we get.
-
It's Alex Crook, safe to ignore and file under ''rubbish''.

I wouldn't say an 8th placed finish has proven it to be ineffective what so ever. I'm sure you'll be right in your element next season though, I bet you can't wait for the sales and the struggle.
-
That's the big question though, who knows? The summer is full of questions. If we do keep the team together and manage to add to it, then yes - we can improve. Although I do think we'll see more outs than in's and I think we should start to prepare ourselves for a bit of a bumpy one next year.
-
good player in my opinion, was a brick wall today - and used the ball intelligently. He was one of the key reasons towards our start, if you have a solid base and don't concede then it gives you a massive chance to pickup points (although, not in our case these days, as we don't score goals!)
-
He is so, so much better than any of those clubs.
-
I'm glad Chambers is starting to get the recognition, in many ways he has come from no where this season. He's turned into one of the best young full backs in England.
-
A distinct lack of quality is what I would say based on that 45.
-
Very well deserved, if it only is a nomination. Would expect one of the Liverpool lads to win it though
-
I think he meant if he goes to the world cup, which at this moment time is a bit of a pipe dream for him. Would expect Immobile to go in front of him.

Absolutely fantastic post!

What a truly unbelievable job Pulis has done, seriously. They were dead in December, yet somehow he's got them mid-table. Incredible achievement.

You've got to say that his frustration at not being in the france squad is probably coming to roost, and it's probably because he's playing for an unfashionable club. As soon as he plays for a big club, I bet he's snapped up by the national side - and that's got to be playing on his mind. We'll have to wait and see, but it's going to be a bumpy summer. I think generally next season will be one of a downward turn, similar to Swansea this year, but I don't think we'll go down. Who knows what the long-term future holds though, hope we're not going to turn into another villa.

Slightly OTT to say the least, I'd expect a post like this straight after a game, but 24 hours on? Seriously. We were not out played, no idea what game you watched. It also wasn't a worst performance of the season. Check out Sunderland in the cup if you want to see that. Calm down, we lost a game, but we're not a bad side. We'll probably win next week and edge over the line to what has been an utterly stunning season for us. Be grateful for what we have, it might not always be like this is what I say.
-
It'll be Rogers if he wins the league, if he doesn't and Everton sneak 4th...it'll be Martinez. If neither of those things happen, it's probably likely to go to a Steve Bruce/Tony Pulis type. Still lots to be decided, it's actually been quite an exciting season with lots of excellently performing sides.

He's trash. We've got Gallagher in that young/tall striker mode, we certainly don't need to block his progress with rubbish like Wickham. We need to be careful with adding players for the sake of adding them in the summer, it's only worth doing if they're better and different to what we have. i.e sign a CB who is better than Fonte, a GK who is better than Boruc, a ST who is better than Lambert etc.....and the starters from this year evolve into the backup. That's the way it should be done, I don't want to see us buying loads of ''backup'' players, that's for sure, as that's a sure fire way to create a squad of trash.
-
Blimey, that's the biggest load of baloney I've ever read.
-
Puncheon isn't really having a brilliant season though. Up until the last few weeks the majority of Palace fans wanted shot, he's picked it up in the last 4-5 weeks for sure, but to say he's had a brilliant season is a bit silly.
-
Rickie has to start as he's our only option. Gallagher isn't ready. The squad isn't good enough and we're not able to replace Jay Rodriguez, in fact we're not able to replace any first 11 attacking player if they get an injury. Pretty pants really.
-
I think the only reason people are suggesting young Gallagher is because he's our only option, I personally don't think he's ready for this level yet. Not seen anything from him to suggest he is, yet. The issue is that we don't have a squad.
