It's not about Clyne making a mistake at all, he was injured (in fact he's been injured most of the season), Chambers came in and has been absolutely brilliant. You can't just drop a player who has been brilliant just because someone has come back, it's all about earning your place through an oppertunity and Chambers has fully earned his place right now.
-
I reckon that's likely, although wouldn't drop Chambers. He's keeping Clyne out fairly at the moment.
-
Dunno, If someone spends £25-£30m on him then he'll start every week to be honest. I could even see him walking into Chelsea's team right now.

It's an interesting situation re: Shaw. This is the first time we've had one of these young stars as an established PL team, previously we've been a Champ/L1 side so it's been a bit of a no-brainer...but it'll be very different this time.

WHU v Swansea is the early kick off, find it odd that the Newcastle match isn't on TV anywhere...unless I'm missing something. Big game for both sides, you'd have to say a win for Swansea should enable them to pull away, but a win for WHU will drag so many more right back into it! (right up to 10th!)

Welcome back TDD! Personally I think we'll find out KL's true intentions this summer. It will tell us if she's here long-term, or if she's trying to minimise the costs to make us an attractive sale. Nothing has suggested either so far, we're in a bit of a stalemate. It'll be an interesting summer anyway, what with the world cup. It'll beat last years summer which was a bore fest for the most part.

Not until they actually pay it. They've only paid £500k so far.

Valencia confusion We were all a bit surprised that Valencia signed Philippe Senderos earlier on this evening. But perhaps Valencia's tweet welcoming him to the club but showing a picture of Brede Hangeland may explain it all. Mistaken identity...? lol - whops.
-
Thought they may have just managed to get him over the line before then, but good news.
-
But if we're honest, it's the first transfer window since the takeover whereby we're in a position of nothingness. All the other windows we've either been chasing promotion or trying to move away from relegation, so there's been a stronger need. And anyway, last years signing didn't really happen if we're honest. All a big figment of our imagination!

Is it confirmed that they cannot play the new greek lad? Bit of a bonus if true, as they don't exactly have much up to.
-
Fulham latest As reports begin to land of Philippe Senderos penning a move to Valencia, does that mean Johnny Heitinga has joined Fulham? All will (may) be revealed in the next hour... .....Bit disappointing if Senderos isn't available for tomorrow, as he's ****. But even if they do get Heitinga, they won't be able to play him.
-
Could go either way to be honest, no one really knows. Nothing has happened in the last month to suggest either way, so it's pretty much stalemate. The summer will answer all we need to know, we'll just carry on as we are until then. - As was always the plan.

Deadline day is simply too much for some.

Strong belief from most people up there that Laudrup will work the season and then leave. Most seem convinced at this. Club seems to be planning to head in a different direction. Let's hope that this doesn't mimic the summer activities of another premiership club...
-
I get the feeling with Osvaldo, that even if he hit the ground running with us and banged in the goals without any incidents, he'd still be looking for a move. Doesn't' strike me as a player who will stick with any club for any reasonable amount of time.
-
Ummm....last summer, Wanyama and Lovren? Both significantly improved the squad. Season before.....Gaston Ramirez, Clyne, Boruc, Steve Davis, Rodriguez....? and your point is, exactly?
-
+ the signing of Ngog. Very, very odd window for Swansea.
-
Jeez, state of the stoke fans.
-
Yeah that was crazy, sort of agreed with Simon Jordan's view - very, very unprofessional. It was more or less a come and get me plea, awful from him.
-
Remember the same being said about Norwich in the summer and how they've overtaken us with their signings. Remind me....how did that work out? Not sure why everyone is obsessed with signings. If the equal player is in the academy, then use them. We pay enough into that, so let's make the most of it.
-
I must admit, I get much more satisfied at the prospect of a young lad breaking through, developing and playing a part, rather than us spending £15m on a mega-star in the hope he turns good.
-
Nope.......loans out of the transfer window are lower league only, and that is only domestic.

“I’m very happy,” Osvaldo told a Juventus interviewer. “It’s all been a bit of a whirlwind and I still can’t quite believe it but I’m happy. “It was pleasing when I first heard of Juventus’ interest in me. “When everything was completed last night I sat down and I couldn’t believe it. “As I said before, it’s been a pretty hectic three or four days but I’m happy.” Osvaldo, who joined Saints from Roma, was asked whether he had missed Italian football. “I can honestly say I have, yes,” he replied. “When I initially left I was happy to embark on a new and exciting experience in England. “But in the end it became something I missed.” Osvaldo really needs to perform in the next few months to help Juve in their quest to win the Serie A title and to ensure a spot in Italy’s World Cup side. “I want to enjoy it,” he smiled. “In the year of the World Cup, I’m joining the greatest club in Italy and one of the finest in Europe. “I don’t think such things happen often in life. “I want to enjoy this experience, do my best to be involved in the World Cup and, God willing, stay here for many years.”

It hasn't though, has it? This is one of our best seasons in over a decade, we have one of the best teams I've had the privilege of watching in my saints lifetime. No, it's not a damp squib.
