Stupid end to a game that should have been over after 15 mins. Norwich were there for the taking from the 1st minute, they were complete and utter trash. They've got no chance of staying up based on that. Frustrated we didn't really do anything after the first 15 mins, but the 2nd half we finished them off - but decided we'd give them a bit of a chance for some reason. 2 moments of complete madness, and all of their opportunities came through us overplaying. The 2 full backs were supurb today I thought, Clyne back to his best. Lallana had a bit of a quiet one, didn't really influence much during the time he was on. Morgan ran the show in midfield and frustratingly, as per usual, Gaston failed to impress himself upon the game against pretty gash opponents it has to be said. A good performance though, but the score line flatters Norwich by a long way.

Liverpool for me. Norwich by far the worst, how we let that trash back into it is beyond me.

Blimey, some big players out for them there.

I'm also struggling to understand why you'd want Wes Brown....utter trash player. -

Not really tbh, it was a decent assist. -

Oh good, we've got over that 40 point mark, so we're safe!!!! Not great to watch, same old possession football with little end product...but we got a scrappy goal out of it in the end. Places like this are always mega-hard to go to at this stage of the season, so getting three points has to be seen as a pretty sound return. Lambert had a stinker though. No idea what to do with him. He seems to forgotten how to control, touch, pass, move, hold up, head, finish. We are carrying him at this present moment. -
Lallana is obviously going to the world cup, that's been clear for months. He should be an utter shoe in from the start though, just look how fluid we looked with him on the pitch. Shaw had a very assured debut too, looked confident and played above his age - as we've come to expect. For me, he has to go to the world cup. We won't win it, so just give the young lads a chance to experience a tournament like that. Cole has been there, done that, got the t-shirts. Sterling had a good match, as did Gerrard. The rest were pretty average though. Didn't quite get the point of the Milner sub.

Good GK, would cost a fortune though with Leicester seemingly champions-elect.
-
Let's hope he doesn't have too much effect on Adam and Luke! (He's already done a job on Lambert..!!!)
-
That was much better, more rotation and opened them right up. Really should have been a goal.
-
Worth 300k per week though, apparently. I'd do well to earn that in my life.
-
Maybe biased, but I'd take off Wiltshire and bring on Lallana. Play him just in behind and get a bit more rotation going on. The 3 of Gerrard, Henderson and Wiltshire are all too close to each other for me, and the deepest midfielder (gerrard) is the only one seemingly able to open up attacks. Shaw will get 45 mins though, although Cole hasn't done bad. But generally it has been a turd-fest.
-
He does play wide for Liverpool from time to time, but then he has the movement up top from Suarez to open it up a bit. Rooney just doesn't do anything.
-
very much so, nothing is happening at all. Sterling has been alright in the final third, but Rooney has been a non-event.
-
Gerrard has run the show so far, but it's a bit of an unimaginative performance so far. Very sideways, safe, back etc.
-
Good post.

Bit of annoying that none of our lads start the match. You can sense that there will be a million changes at half time, which will disrupt the game and make it much harder for the likes of Jay and Luke to impress. Let's see what happens I guess.

JWP is having a bit of a bad spell at the mo, similar happened last year. Started the season strongly, looked class...and then dropped off. Maybe he's getting fatigued?

EPL´s most clinical strikers, Cole Chamakh and Rodriguez...
S-Clarke replied to Olallana's topic in The Saints
He clearly doesn't. Maybe a few chances he could do better with, but I wouldn't class those chances as sitters. He's had a good season and has a good return, if anything our poor return in form the last few weeks is down to his lack of involvement (he seems pretty quiet, not taking players on etc). -
Done - voted. I think he's had a decent season. He's a classy operator and can use the ball very well, the only criticism you can have of him is his lack of offensive penetration - that's one area of his game which has never really evolved, although he's beginning to make late runs into the box. I'm not sure he's ever going to be a goal scoring attacking midfielder though, he's not that type - he's more of a Pirlo type deep-sitting play maker. The thing with Morgan is that when he plays well, the entire team function - and you don't really notice him as he provides the platform for the attaching players to sparkle. When he has an off day, and he wasn't great on Saturday, the midfield doesn't function and the team looks very disjointed - and you notice him giving the ball away too. But he's still a massively important player for us and for me, one of the first names on the team sheet.
-
Not sure why people believe Clyne has a chance, he doesn't. He needs to be a regular for us first, which he isn't right now. He won't be selected.
-
Why exactly do either Ramirez or Clyne need to come in? Chambers is there on merit and is our best RB at this present moment. Ramirez hasn't done enough to start football matches, best used as a sub. Although he was pretty useless yesterday.
