But I'm sure you'd have been there at the final.
-
The club clearly didn't care about this competition a great deal, not sure what they expect us to do in the league...
-
Can someone ban this clown please? Pointlessly trolling. and that Nutjob stream worked great for me, pointless watching though!!!
-
What's Cork done wrong? Had a decent game. And what do you expect from someone who has been on the bench all season. Of course he's not going to be at the level of last season, and if we're honest - we're used to better now, no matter how good Cork was for us. Wanyama and Morgan are rightfully the midfield 2.
-
What a load of tosh that game was.

I agree with giving players a time, around 18 months is fair enough. The issue is that after 15 months, you'd expect him to be getting there. The reality is that he's been here almost 18 months, he is further away than he ever was from a starting place. There's nothing I would have loved more to have seen Gaston perform for us, but I can see that it's time to cut losses - and as fans we need to stop clinging onto to the ''he may come good'' line, as I'm sure we'll still be saying it in 3 years time when he's 25.
-
Yeah, like that's going to happen...
-
To be fair though, he's one of us, he's as passionate as they come, so you can't deny him that. He's just a bit monotonous with it all.
-
He's a teacher apparently.

Newcastle will never go anywhere with that clown in charge of their transfers. Feel sorry for them, they're a big club and deserve a lot better.
-
Is too early to say. Will be an unreal achievement to finish top 8, reckon we'll be somewhere 10th-12th come the final reckonings. Trying not to get too carried away!

That's pretty much it to be honest. I think it's got to the point where he's had long enough here to start to make an impact. All this ''Give him a chance'' ''Give him a run in the side'' is just hollow-hope. He's had 15 months of chances. I thought this year would be a fresh start for him, but the fact that he barley featured speaks volumes. As much as we want him to succeed here, it's looking increasingly likely that he simply won't. That doesn't mean he's a bad player, he's just not the sort of player we can risk in our system, which has been pretty much 100% confirmed based on his lack of appearances. Don't read into the lack of fitness stuff either, that's just waffle. As well as i wanted him to do, he will be gone in January - probably on loan initially. Let's go out there and get a number 10 who works for the team.

You're telling people to grow up, and there you are calling Gaston Ramirez ''the gash''. Yeah, really mature. Well done.
-
He didn't do a great deal if I'm honest. A couple of opportunities where he was just brushed off the ball and played us into trouble, a couple of passes he just played to the opposition. A few good runs, but I just don't see how he fits in this team. He's not a player suited to a team which play a high press, he's too careless with his passing and too weak when in possession and it will put us into trouble far too often.

But we're 1 game, against Sunderland, from being in the quarter finals - at home. As far as I'm concerned, this is our best and only current realistic chance for any real trophy challenge this year.
-
Jay Rod is in a completely different league to Ormerod, let's be honest. Light years apart in ability. Can't say I've ever seen the compassion, and if there ever was, the person making the comparison was clearly off their rocker.

I don't think we will ever score lots of goals. I said it a few weeks back, we'll win lots of games 1-0, 2-0, a few 1-1's, 0-0's. Make no doubt about it, this is not a high scoring side, you can see it in the make up. But that's been sacrificed in order to make us one of the best defensive units in European football. I know what I prefer, and it's not like we're boring to watch either. We're just very patient, disciplined, organised and professional. For example, if we're 1-0 up or 2-0 up we're the sort of side who will just shut up shop and close the rest of the game up, rather than go in search for more goals and open it up for no reason. That's what I think we're evolving into, and I don't see it as a problem. We don't and won't constantly attack teams with pace and power down the flanks under MP - and the fact we don't, isn't a fault. This is our style.
-
Yes. We have a genuine chance to progress into the later stages. This is our only realistic route to Wembley and Europe if we're honest, not sure why people belittle it.
-
We'd be second, the perennial under achievers.
-
He's predictions for us are clearly directed to get annoy us, he's just on a massive wind up. He's battered on twitter by Saints fans. So what better way to get his revenge than wind us up even more...!
-
It's a joke, just look at his posting history. Anyway, he's another great find. It goes to show that sometimes players don't fit a club, as we've found with some players over the years. But us and Lovren just fit....he's perfect for us, seems a real top bloke.
-
It's a great story, it really is. To be where we are now and still have Lallana, Fonte, Morgan, Lambert, Guly in the side is just immense. One of the best built spines, ever. Pardew has to take a lot of credit for that.
-
This will be our toughest game of the season, in my opinion. We did amazing to beat Liverpool, but you need to remember that they were all over the show that day with a random formation that simply didn't work. Utd were just out of any sort of form, as Stoke also proved - almost. Stoke on the other hand are still a tough nut to crack, but they've got a little more verve in their play now and will have some confidence.

It's a Saturday. 3pm KO as per normal.
