if you want to just read the official site and beleive everything they tell you then go ahead, but i like having balanced news from various sources and making my own mind up, this story is a "good news" one and a positive view of saints new signing, the club spokesman got his knickers in a twist because they are control freeks who like to restrict media to report their press releases, but really there is nothing to be said , there is no anti-club agenda.
-
have you ever heard of the concept of freedom of press? if the paper uses its own initatiative and does an interview that is up to them, they do not have to go to the club and beg for permission each time. if the only outlet for saints news was the official site it was would be the most biased borefest going. having the media to check and challenge any decisions is healthy.

No mention at all, the ticket office are f*cking useless at informing fans on stuff like this, also classic case wait until home game passes to put them on sale forcing out of town fans to call up and incur the booking fee

Another train tip for those only planning to drink at Waterloo / London Bridge, it is cheaper to just get a return from Southampton Central to South Bermondsey than get a return to London with a travelcard. Example with a network railcard, £20.95 return Sot Central - South Bermondsey , a return to London with travelcard is £25.75

Millwall confirm prices for home fans at a reduced rate of £18 adults, £12 seniors and £5 under 16s all over the ground, so will be same for us. http://www.millwallfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10367~2580602,00.html

You can get a GROUPSAVE 4 ticket up from Southampton with a travelcard (they sometimes stop selling them on match days) so could be worth buying those for any thinking of travelling, basically half price train fare, same for those coming from Winchester / Salisbury etc. Last time we played them in league one it was even pay on the day and we didn’t fill the upper tier, I know as my Fulham mate came along with a couple of pals and bought tickets just before kick off, so I reckon the upper tier will be enough for us. Hopefully they will make it £15 tickets in an effort to get a crowd in, can’t see Millwall being that up for it as they have the ‘big one’ away to West Ham the following week.

for anyone wondering tickets are on open general sale on the west ham website, i registered yesterday and anyone can buy if you are prepared to sit on your hands. From what someone posted about we should get about 2900 like Leicester and Leeds did, considering it is midweek, on valentines day, i reckon there will be a few going on sale to non-season ticket holders. good one to do by train, going via Waterloo and Jubilee line to West Ham.

your club has no chane of getting a celtic star player .

This one is a cracker as well I've been to see Rangers play Hibs and Porto at Ibrox, Arsenal at the emirates tournament and was at the uefa cup final 2008 in Manchester where they lost to Zenit St Petersburg, everytime their support has been very impressive, 10,000 at the emirates all stood doing the bouncy. Proud people. -
i agree, or double up an attractive away game with an unattractive one, so need Birmingham away on your record to qualify for West Ham
-
i agree, but all evidence points towards that not being the case, my guess is West Ham and Watford away will be a scramble for tickets, but for those who don't get them don't worry as we've got plenty of other aways you can just turn up and pay on the day for, Birmingham, Millwall in the cup will be easy enough to get, Leeds easy, Blackpool pay on the day, Peterborough, Hull, Middlesbrough will all be easy to come by.
-
DannySFC mate, don't worry about that, combine some fit ladies with going to west ham, go via Liverpool St and sample some of the pubs of Shoreditch where the ladies will happily get undressed all you have to do is drop £1 in their glass when they come round!
-
i don't claim to be an expert, but i'm told the whole end is 3,600, so if West Ham have 2 blocks of that, plus segregation it would point to us having about 2400, still not a bad turn out midweek but would rather we have 3600 filled the end, Upton Park can have a cracking atmosphere at night games and if we are still top 2 could be an absolute cracker
-
so what makes you think we'll get over 3000?
-
You never know with saints, as tickets went on general sale today i have just registered on West Ham's website, i can see the away stand they have blocks NL5 and NL6 available for home fans to buy, but blocks NL1, NL2, NL3, NL4, are all restricted so looks like that is what we have been allocated so we definitely don't have the full lower tier.
-
i think we should get a big flag with a welcome message on in Japanese , see if JustMike can get everyone to chip in for it again , i'm sure the club will be happy for us to display it when he comes out onto the pitch something like this will do 歓迎リーは、バスに乗るとゴールを決める
-
Depends on whether our ticket office demanded the extra i guess http://www.footballgroundguide.com/west_ham_united/ Away fans are housed in one end, in the lower tier of the relatively modern Sir Trevor Brooking Stand. The usual allocation for away supporters is 2,200, but if demand requires, away fans can be allocated the whole of the lower tier of the North Stand, where up to 3,600 supporters can be accommodated.
-
fair play, so you are travelling down from Falkirk for it? if i was you, i'd try and build up a friendship with some season ticket holders on here, i know a few who don't live near enough to southampton to get a season ticket but use friends season ticket numbers to get away tickets, just an option.
-
I spoke to watford fan at work about this today, he reckons almost zero chance of us having a big allocation, they are giving Spurs the full allocation for the Cup game and even that is controversial http://www.watfordfc.com/page/MatchbyMatch/0,,10400~2574914,00.html he reckons they only gave west ham more due to demand / fears they would bring hundreds in the home end, and such measures wouldn't be done for a nice club like Southampton!! so expect 2,200 allocation for this one as well http://www.footballgroundguide.com/watford/
-
Game is still 4 weeks away, going on the usual ticket office time lines i reckon they won't go on sale at least for another week, probably only get 2,200 for it so will sell out really quickly.
-
he should really be a Basketball player with a name like that
-
I can vouch for the fact that the echo did get the interview in this case and it is not "from a press conference" , Sibley clearly thinks he knows it all.
-
Wouldn't get too excited about this until i've seen him play , we have had too many loan players over the years who have had no impact, and the last one from spurs Tomas Perkhart is a good example, he was dreadful. If he has pace that is a good start, we definitely lack that.
-
Luton have always taken very good numbers , a good stat would be to show average home , average away and the % that travel away, saints don't fair so well on that compared to the Luton's and AFC Wimbledons for that. Our away support is much better now than it was in the prem days which is party accounted for by a) in those days we seemed to go to the same old ground year in year out and b) we actually win some away games now

Unless there are two of them i have seen this bloke before, there was also an article on a handful of them who continued to support the club after the move and do the journey each week, feel sorry for them really.
