  1. We were beating oldham away 6-0 in what was probably my favourite away day of the season, train up to Manchester, bus over to oldham trying to find the ground, demolition taking them apart in front of our smallest away following all season in a game that looked tricky, would be good to have a result like that again to get the confidence back
  2. The Islamic Society are sinking a few of these http://www.titanicbrewery.co.uk/ and having a hog roast to mark the occassion
  3. i agree with most of the above, although Winslet has done quite a few saucy scenes in the films she has been in so perhaps they could show some of those on the big screen?
  4. i would like to have some kind of maritime band like they had on the boat, or a marching band like we used to have on the pitch at the Dell, used to love it when they played oh when the saints.
  5. Dig out "In that number" and see who saints were playing when the Titanic sank 100 years ago, just out of interest, and does it make any reference to the club being linked with the tragedy at the time, interesting landmark in the city's history but not entirely linked in with the club. Considering the city is still associated with the cruise industry would have thought the occassion will be covered a lot by the council iniatives
  6. Here are a few of the things organised to mark the occassion http://www.southampton.gov.uk/news-events/events/allevents/Titanic-2012.asp
  7. It would be great if the club did do something, i'd like to see the city of southampton more prevalent in the memorial as well, Belfast have gone in for it in a big way (using public money) to regenerate a whole part of the city and re-name it the Titantic Quarter, what is planned for the city of Southampton? I didn't realise the Chapel area of town was so directly effected. And to Alpine's suggested, Kate Winslet to strip off at the Reading game, that gets my vote!
  8. you might have already covered this , but when you met him how did you know who he was? and was his English particularly good for you to have this discussion?
  9. how does playing a flute make some a bigot? celtic fans have been known to sing about killing the queen and promoting the IRA they are hardly in a position to judge. i'm not religious, but always support Rangers in the old firm matches, i had a workmate who was a Motherwell fan who said most scottish fans hated the fact that their Representation in Europe was Celtic flying the IRISH flag and Rangers flying the union jack
  10. we could really do with another striker option for Forest on saturday, would be good if this was completed in time even if it was only for him to come off the bench for connolly, can't afford to lose yet another league game in a row.
  11. i was waiting to see these, hoping they'd make us cat d like when they played burnley, going to save my money and watch it on TV - we will lose this match 2-0.
  12. i agree doubt they'd take many, more like 1300 i reckon, big terrace, can see that being appealing and they are not doing too badly at the moment, they are bound to take a few by train for a game just north of London , can just imagine a few saints fans drinking in the hole in the wall turning round to find they are sharing the pub with a load of skates, makes the whole bubble trip a bit ironic when they allow stuff like this.
  13. nah i doubt it, skates game was only moved today so after the draw was made, they would have known oure game was on and i assume received police go ahead to make the switch, any skates going by train will be passing through waterloo though which is unusual as they normally keep us apart playing home / away in opposite weeks
  14. pubs around waterloo might be a bit more lively than usual as i notice Skates have had their away game to Peterborough moved to that day so they will all be passing through London as well http://www.theposh.com/page/NewsDetail/0,,10427~2571062,00.html
  15. exactly right, it is about time the public realised this.
  16. hahahah Nice one Avenue Saint mate! maybe you should stop taking this internet lark so seriously :-) i can imagine you with steam coming out of your ears sat in front of your computer getting really angry about a song that will never be sung about a player who hasn't even signed for us yet.
  17. i think he has shown his true colours there! disgusting!
  18. i'm sure Atomic by Blondie could be amended?
  19. how about Lee Lee wherever you may be you make good quality electrical equipment in your own country it could be worse you could be a skate on the dole on your council estate
  20. Why not? What's wrong with eating dogs compared to any other animal? Would it be wrong to sing a song about Cortese and pasta?
  21. that is what i was thinking, what a tragic way to remember one of the best finals , a cov reserves v saints reserves in front of 6000 at retail park warehouse arena. that 87 final was from the era when cup finals were proper huge events, think even had the programme from the game, good spurs side as well. Cov won the cup then got knocked out to non league sutton the next season
  22. it is no coincidence that Sammy the saint no longer features at St Marys
  23. wrong again Mr Shurlock get mr watson on the case, he is of Korean descent and even played for their U20s http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tadanari_Lee facepalm
  24. she has a huge dislike / hatred of white people and needs pickfords to help her carry that chip on her shoulder around with her
  25. it is not a sweeping generalisation in a negative sense, aka Dianne Abbot, it is a football song expressing our joy at the diversity of our football squad, if i went to Japan and they called me a pie eater i would embrace that
