  1. IF you call up for EVERY ticket you buy, doubt anyone does that, most will buy more than one a time, or buy from the window AVOIDING any charge, so not a saving at all for most.
  2. "As the Daily Echo went to press there were still several hundred tickets available in the Southampton allocation, leading police chiefs to believe that hundreds of seats in the away end could be empty" lets be honest, this is going to look really sh*t on tv with a half full away end
  3. fair enough obviously rubbish maths there, but point is £22.50 a game isn't a huge saving like having a season ticket it. 50p a game.
  4. there is a £5 booking fee.
  5. it is not a discount. you are paying up front face value for all 10 games. £225 / £10 = £23 per game in chapel, so no saving.
  6. the old woman on the scooter is back again, what a legend http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/9390942.Pompey_owners_in_insolvency_proceedings/#commentsList
  7. they owed £29M before, and how much did they owe them afterwards? that is a lot of debt written off in the CVA. i will beleive it when i see it, this thread is full of wafflers who beleive their own spin on everything, i've lost count of the number of times people have put "this could be the end" and yet the skates keep on going. they should be taken out of the league, but i bet they don't and will still be playing us on the 18th with a team costing more than ours.
  8. they got away with it before, why not again? until they have gone bust and we have beaten them at Fratton no celebrations from me.
  9. i bet they get away with it, Andonikou did a good job last time, that is for sure, he got a lot of debt off their back.
  10. who is this Dorkish that you talk of?
  11. if it is so bad / expensive, why do other clubs like Fulham, skates, coventry., arsenal, have off the shelf systems that allow you to pick your own seats?
  12. i saw quite a few away games last season where lack of fight when the going got tough was a real concern, and i do worry about this game. we'll need an early goal and hopefully be able to dominate them, but i have a nasty feeling certain players won't be up for the battle. Hooveld, Lambert, Hammond , big lads need to lead by example.
  13. Going back to the title of the thread, Andy - why are you / does this make you ashamed to be British?
  14. i generally hate getting the buses in ****ter parts of suburban london, usually a few loons around, worst thing for me are the kids wanting to look tough playing their music on their phones then scowling at anyone who dares look at them, no one ever confronts them either.
  15. why? they aren't really known for taking big numbers away. i reckon they'll bring 1800
  16. Interesting that according to this the match is already sold out (for home fans) so they are clearly well up for this one selling out well over a month in advance, fair play to them for that. http://www.seagulls.co.uk/page/ComingUp/0,,10433~2503431,00.html we also learn from this that tickets will be £24 for away fans, not too bad, our allocation of 2500 will probably sell out to season ticket holders i reckon, should imagine it will be a ballot once they have finished with the skates arrangements (although hope they don't leave it too late with the Christmas post)
  17. i think some people are misreading the post, the blokes who did it were clearly cowards who will one day pick on the wrong lads and will get found out, karma
  18. i think you could definitely be right about that, gates open , will be quite a sight for the skates looking at an empty stand only for it to be flooded by mobs of saints flowing off the coaches and fill it within minutes, will be weird for the first few saints in to be met with a full Fratton Park!
  19. My biggest concern about this game is i can see skates away being very similar to Bristol City, type of ground, atmosphere and team who will get at us, must admit i am worried about it and can see us losing unless we can show more fight on the road
  20. i do wonder about the whole lack of communication on this, no confirmation of how many tickets we have, there seems some ambiguity over the coach departure times, none of it really makes sense. 12.15 is clearly too late for a 1pm kick off, but i have a feeling that will be the time the very last coach leaves, it will be earlier assume all coaches leave in one hit and transport with a number of old bill cars at the front and back
  21. i don't think they'll be a problem for a couple of weeks yet, still to open the Itchen / Northam corner, and i can't see Palace bringing more than 2000 so they'll probably open block 43 for us as well.
  22. All the best for the recovery for the lads involved, get yourself along to a game again and don't let it put you off, put it down as one of those experiences, they are a bunch of cowards / bullies for doing that with their numbers, we had a similar incident on the way back to Temple Meads on 2009, my brother and a couple of mates who were chased by 15 or so and luckily got away, we bumped into a similar number who i assume were the same ones who didn't seem as keen when the numbers were even
  23. spoke to my mate who is walking back to the train station who described it as very poor, no danger going forward, and couldn't handle the strength and power of their front men, lessons to be learned from this game i think.

  25. the inside out documentary before was hilarious, they asked one copper why the fans hated each other and she said "i don't think even they know to be honest, i mean some of them wear red, some of them wear blue, that's it really" Our celebrity PC must be loving all this coverage he is getting after his crusade against homophobic hate crime against Brighton he now gets to tell the world how he brought peace to the south coast
