  1. Rotherham haven't won away for 11 months apparently, they must be due one soon
  2. Agree that was textbook Stoke performance like they used to play with Pulis , not stop moaning and blaming the ref , nice to beat them
  3. Good luck, would seem a bit harsh and illogical not to make them available as 1) there's so many left and 2) there's loads of home end seats on general sale you buy right up until kick off
  4. Can see it happening, soon to be out of contract Adams downs tools, Stewart back on the treatment table, cometh the hour cometh the Tall Paul Southamptons goal machine
  5. There was loads of tickets still available (about 1000), give Saints or Stoke a ring in the morning I'd be surprised if you couldn't pay on the day. Mine hasn't turned up so they're going to arrange one to be collected at the ground so should certainly be possible for you to get one
  6. Don't get too nostalgic, I remember that cup win, we got back in the motor after the game buzzing for the 1/4 draw...YEESSSSSS we've got league one Sheffield United, going to be our year lads......
  7. Recall clause in January?
  8. Not many familiar names in their side , I'll go for 1-1, Stoke's goal to come from a long clearance that catches the wind and bounces over Bazs head https://oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/thread/310169/team-southampton?page=1
  9. I know it's supposedly tickets sold rather than actual clicks of the turnstile, Leeds game for example there was a train strike with no trains from any direction into Southampton. Even still good numbers, will be more like 26k for Rotherham next week.
  10. It's only natural and based on past experiences, especially when we sense the team sitting back and inviting trouble. Still another crowd over 30k, good going for championship football that was live on sky
  11. To be honest I'm surprised there haven't been more of us trying to get banned in the last 12 months
  12. Always scratched my head why we choose to do it the other way, did Leeds do us a favour winning the toss? I didn't see that so not sure whose choice it was
  13. It's such an inconsistent league IF we can put a run together then we'll be back up in the mix for promotion pretty quickly, teams like Preston started well but then will go on a bad run, it's difficult to say what are the tougher fixtures far in advance. We've got Jack Stephens and Ross Stewart to come back in a few weeks , who knows how that will change us. Still think central midfield needs to be stronger.
  14. There's that and also we're a massive club.
  15. Definitely a tough game for the way we play, Stoke still seem quite a physical side so we'll have to be prepared to get involved especially in midfield. Loads of tickets left in the away end for anyone who fancies making the trip after today's win. Would be huge if we could nick the 3 points with Rotherham up next chance to put the bad run behind us
  16. Have said before I think our fans are desperate for a positive team / manager to get behind, just need to get on a good run again. Rotherham home next Saturday 3pm get the ground full and up for it, bit of momentum can build, kids tickets £1 if they're signed up for the junior Saints, Rotherham will bring a man and his dog tucked away in the corner , Saints should open up blocks 43 and 44 to home fans now so we don't have huge section of empty seats
  17. Does seem like a lot of tickets have shifted in the last week and I can't imagine that many Saints fans have suddenly decided they want to go, maybe its some of the 30k students that have moved back into the city in the last fortnight coming to see the magical wonder of Saints ground-breaking possession based soccer
  18. Yeah I don't know why I shared that , no quote attributed to anyone or any context, just sense a simmering dislike of the fanbase that could boil over on Saturday, one boo from an old granny in the Itchen and Russel Martin is going full Eric Cantona on her
  19. What deals have you been offered? A mate is still deciding whether to go or not, I hadn't noticed any cheap ticket offers but might have deleted it
  20. I can help you with that. The bad performances came before the bad atmosphere. Wasn't it 6 home games in a row without scoring towards the end of Puels reign?
  21. Any idea when we last lost 5 consecutive league games?
  22. I don't know anyone who thought it would be a doddle, there were fans who pointed out we'd have one of the highest budgets and wage bills so had resources in place to do well, unfortunately those resources have been managed very badly.
  23. Yeah completely agree, we're watching our season disappear down the toilet after only a few games, he made sure we got dumped out of the cup with an horrific performance v league 2 Gillingham that was just as bad as the Grimsby episode, our league form is clearly not going to improve enough, all enthusiasm has been extinguished in the fan base , sad times.
