Stephens at fault for the 4th? Really?
-
We also have a centre mid that offers the defenders very little protection, how often do we find ourselves with the opposition having a clear run through the middle
-
We still have players like Sulemana (and had Salisu) who I'm not sure is happy to play for us
-
Didn't look good when he went off , any news on that?
-
QPR fan I know asked me that as I'd said they'd be given 3300 (which is what we gave teams in the prem) seems there's a bit more netting now but not sure that accounts for all the lost seats. Was expecting Norwich to bring more today, but if it becomes a regular thing to open block 43 to home fans hopefully they do that early on to give fans the choice There's no requirement in the championship for teams to offer 3000 (or 10% of capacity if less) like there is in the Premier league.

Called this when I first saw him play, he's incredibly quiet for a keeper, makes no attempt to organise or really communicate with the defence in front of him. I think our defenders are impacted by that, also no shield in midfield so exposed both sides with opposition free to run at the centre backs, we really need a proper keeper in for this season.

Ref was dishing them out for some very minor things, couldn't understand most of them and was certain we'd end up with a red. Going to end up with half the team suspended if it carries on like that
-
Even the pre season friendly two home defeats just felt like more of the same with the crowd huffing in frustration, if I had to put a £1 on it I'd say 1-0 to Norwich with Angus Gunn man of the match
-
Definitely has the feel of a game we'll struggle in, too much disruption around the club, unsettled starting XI plus we've got one of the worst home records in the country. Desperately need to turn that around and get some positivity back at St Mary's. Fantastic ticket sales, ground was basically sold out until they put on sale what Norwich returned (shame they didn't do that earlier, block 43 will now mainly just be anyone buying last minute for the game rather than those who actually want to stand / sing in that end) more tickets have been released there today so plenty of availability. Thought Norwich would have brought down more, maybe put off having to share the train down with West Ham fans going to Bournemouth

They summed it up on the radio, we had 11 players out on the pitch but at no point did they look like a team, more like a bunch of strangers. Feel sorry for the 1800 fans who made the effort to travel for that. As a traditionalist and a fan of cup runs getting a bit fed up seeing games like this and Grimsby
-
Is it still on the radio as well as the website? What incentive is there to pay for the website ?
-
Don't think that's right. We have 3000 "new" season ticket holders but that needs to be offset by anyone who didn't renew Total probably not much different
-
Don't remind me, that was league Cup 1/4 final wasn't it, still managed to lose, massive following up there midweek close to Christmas let down by the players as usual
-
Before the tramlink opened they used to run loads of football special buses up from the city centre , hopefully something like that will be in operation again
-
We've had plenty of jokers come and go in that position last few years giving you lots of new CBs to enjoy, I'm more than happy with Stephens in there for now.
-
Trams are due to be closed aren't they? Is that yellow route affected?
-
Looks like the 1800 allocation has sold out, which is a top effort midweek, first round of the carabao, hope Martin respects the competition and plays a strong enough team, get some winning momentum going.
-
He wasn't great for us was he, no real loss. Probably will remember him for conceding ridiculous penalty v Grimsby
-
From what I hear he won't be missed by many at the club, strange situation but to get decent fee and move him out of the club its a good deal
-
Plus literally anyone can still buy in our own end at the subsidised price. I meet up with mates often at away games who follow the opposition, few pints together before and after but never sit together at the actual match that would just feel odd to me
-
Why would you do that?
-
I saw him in a few B team games last season, definitely a talent but a lot to learn still. Often guilty of not releasing the ball quickly enough, also knocked off the ball by more physical players but he'll get smarter in time. Doesn't offer much defensively in winning the ball back so need to allow for that in team selection.
-
Very impressive numbers I think. It's a shame we get such a small allocation for Plymouth, seems to be one loads wanted to do and missed out on. September and October looks like very tough months for the travelling fan though, certainly no issues getting tickets for anyone who fancies Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Stoke, Hull or Preston.

I remember going there before the tramlink was built and there used to be tons of buses lined up after the game taking people back into the city. You'd hope they'd arrange something similar if trams out of service that weekend. Loads of good pubs in central Sheffield, not been up by the ground for years probably changed a bit around there.
