Out of interest did you go to Brentford away last season? Absolutely no way was that side trying their best , on the beach would be an understatement
-
Always always leaves a bad taste when they do that, bought 6 tickets earlier this season and paid £9 booking fee almost made me cancel the purchase, online purchase with mobile tickets! If you're reading this Semmens sort it out you muppet
-
Same mate, Who knows when we'll be in another! I'm also going as its a chance to get ticket behind Man City dugout so I can ask Haaland for his shirt and take lots of pics of Grealish
-
Don't think we'll get anywhere near a sell out at those prices https://www.southamptonfc.com/matches/2022-23/efl-cup/saints-vs-man-city-2023-01-11/ticket-info

"HELLO IS THAT MAN CITY" "YEAH" "WE'D LIKE TO BUY YOUR GOALKEEPER " "WHICH ONE?" "GAVIN BAZUNU" "WHO?" "WELL HE'S NEVER PLAYED FOR YOU BUT HE HAS BEEN OUT ON LOAN AT ROCHDALE AND PORTSMOUTH " "OH RIGHT YEAH, NO PROBLEM HOW MUCH ARE YOU OFFERING?" "£15 MILLION BRITISH POUNDS" "DONE"

Think you're right mate, the players will be fired up for this one after the wake up call.
-
I think you will be right but instead of taking it out on Jones aim it at the board.
-
I'd like a loud passionate crowd getting behind the team but let's face it we've been terrible at home for a few years now, fans have reached the point where they have had enough and will boo easily. I actually think our fan base has been patient and not turned on the club as much as others would. Fans hoped for a new manager bounce, we haven't got one and chances of survival look bleak.

Rate Saints business in the Summer 2022 Transfer Window
JRM replied to Barsiem's topic in The Saints
Lavia and Edozie have hardly played , if Lavia can get fit then yes good addition, but at the moment hard to argue we're actually stronger in any position than we were last season -

What I never understood at the time was many fans were getting excited that we were doing deals and spending money but I rarely saw any reasoning explaining why that player would make us a better team. None of them were really proven, some hadn't even played adult football or if so lower leagues. -
Brilliant, last home game before world Cup we were taken apart 1-4 by Newcastle, this time thrashed 1-3 by Brighton, wake up call hahaha
-
Semmens was probably talking about the women's team which according to him is as important as the mens
-
Remember the Liverpool home quarter final in 2015? Feels like it will end up like that
-
How I felt as well, think we've collectively sat through so many shite home performances over last few seasons it's worn us all down.
-
Look at the ease in which Brighton kept the ball, was quite shocking , small bit of movement to create some space and we couldn't win it back, embarrassing but we've come to expect it of our midfield
-
His CV showed the metric Saints want, over performing on a small budget. I feel sorry for his in laws, all big saints fans, going to get a bit awkward
-
Is it too late to return to Man City? Hope we kept the receipt. Terrible bit of business, league one keeper for £15M, ffs typical Saints that, we've wasted so much money over last few years, criminal scouting , stupid game trying to be clever picking up untested kids and hope they come good. 8/10 window ffs
-
There is absolutely no character or fight in this Saints team, so easy to play against. I upset a few people suggesting Baz wasn't ready earlier in the season, he just isn't a top flight goalkeeper
-
Yeah but I've also heard there could be an ambulance strike again that day so guess fixture could be moved again like the Lincoln one will keep an eye on that
-
Well Sutton has us to draw and Chesney Hawkes has Brighton to win so one of them will be correct https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/63955609

Still quite a few tickets available on the exchange https://exchange.southamptonfc.com/selection/resale/item?performanceId=101625142132&_ga=2.140570353.234595958.1670772027-1495245426.1628796849

If no Lavia then I can't see us winning, too weak in midfield ,Brighton will dominate there
-
Confirmed Wednesday 11th Jan, 8pm KO on sky
-
Good shout, although I think Jones will rest players as well with us having a trip to Everton on Saturday 14th Almost certainly means our game v Man City will be wednesday 11th Jan as they play Sunday before
