My kids school are showing it in main hall for kids who want to watch, others who don't can stay in class, I think its good as kids at that age still get the innocent excitement from it all without the cynical politics around it. If England score they'll probably be bouncing around spraying water bottles

It's a fair point that seems to have been missed by many of the critics
-
Think that was fake news , story was it was Qatar captain but he was wearing standard issued FIFA one they have provided to all teams
-
Good numbers of Ecuador fans there , fair play not an easy journey
-
Spanish mob have arrived looking suspiciously like the England fans we saw the other day
-
Feels like it has dawned on Qatar that their propaganda has backfired and if anything its making it worse for them being ridiculed

Winner - Qatar Runner up - England England out - final Dark Horse - Qatar

Serves you right for being a glory hunter, support your local team and get yourself down to Hamble or Folland Sports (are they still going?)
-
Quite a few "Saints regulars" I know are going to take in a few non-league games over the next 6 weeks, hopefully some bumper crowds for them, plenty in the area, Sholing , Eastleigh, Totton all playing some good stuff this season
-
I actually think real fans attending are a bit of an inconvenience for the Qataris, far to unpredictable and they are not used to that, would much rather fill the ground with fake fan migrant workers there with specific instructions on when to wave flags and cheer for the tele cameras
-
Absolutely no way those people are on there way to Qatar, despite the caption they will be watching it in a boxpark chucking beer around
-
Absolutely love Qatar proper jokers they don't give a fuck do they, good money for Agustin Delgardo and his pals

What is the best goal you've ever seen live at a Saints game?

Unbelievable scenes for that one, proper magic of the cup -

Agree has to be same for me, his other goal in that game was good as well and still managed to end up on the losing team. -

Ticket details, hopefully a decent crowd for Jones first game https://www.southamptonfc.com/saints-teams/first-team/matches/2022-23/efl-cup/saints-vs-lincoln-city/ticket-info

Any idea what sort of ban he'll get if proved? Might drag on a bit if he contests it anyway, due to play Brentford away 4th Feb and reschedule the home game definitely a plus if he can't play
-
The quality of football has little to do with the nostalgia in my opinion, its about the grounds, culture, music , teams like Cameroon with players you'd never heard of doing well , England getting to the semis helped from our perspective but still a great tournament with some proper legends / characters involved, just hearing Nessum dorma etc brings it back
-
Once again England fans giving football a bad name, fairly sure a few of these are on banning orders and have managed to make it out of the country slipping through airport checks
-
Sounds great thanks for the recommendation.

Agreed, we've had it occasionally, Chelsea at home this year was excellent i thought, but to often slip into a quiet moany fan base , need to be fully up for it in a battle. Hopefully get good crowds in for first few home games and get some momentum going.

Was just thinking the same, had been feeling positive with Jones appointment but when you look at our players just cannot see three sides worse than us. Been impressed with Fulham this season.
-
They might buy someone new themselves, Wood would be good for us.
-
The championship and league one carry on as normal in December I think so unless Luton can fit us in midweek I expect we'll either play another Premier league opponent or Spanish top flight. Would quite like a trip to Kenilworth Road though.

There were rumours when Ralph was here of warm weather training camp (Miami) and couple of games, not heard any more . West Ham have Cambridge and Fulham away scheduled, noticed Leeds playing Real Sociedad, but there are B team games as well during the world Cup with opportunities to give a few a run out like we did recently
