  1. In the context of tomorrow's game, Villa selling their top scorer seems to be good news for us, have they signed any new players in time for the game?
  2. If Watkins is injured and Ings is sold who will Villa play upfront?
  3. Think their fans wanted him out, 2nd bottom of the championship looking likely to drop down to league one. Like us I'd imagine the FA Cup isn't first priority. Big game for them Saturday v Huddersfield.
  4. Not surprised at all at this, despite what the club says doesn't seem to be anything stopping away fans buying in the home end for first leg "I don't know if it's changed in the last hour, but I registered after the cutoff (after the draw was made), and I managed to get three tickets today." https://newcastle-online.org/topic/37597-league-cup-semi-final-southampton-ah-on-tuesday-24th31st-january-at-8pm-sky/?do=findComment&comment=7415662
  5. I've done it once on the southampton away travel unofficial, comfort wise was fine, put a only fools and horses dvd on for way up, had a kip for most of way back , not preferred method but at least gets you there and back for a decent price
  6. 8/10 window. Honestly didn't know we have a chairman called Henrik Kraft
  7. Tonight will be interesting, they often do well against Man Utd, if they lose that at home hopefully we can make some ground on them over the next few games
  8. This would be classic Saints, somehow get through against Newcastle to make a final and on the same day close the only shop in town that sells merchandise, reminds me of 2017 final Saints managed to play in a shirt that the fans couldn't buy https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/23255711.southampton-fc-marlands-shop-close-within-weeks/
  9. I'm like that, could buy today but will wait until Friday to buy with others I'm going with, club should make clear how many need to be sold by when to keep full allocation

Home in the next round v Fulham or Sunderland, will definitely try to get to St Mary's for that.
  11. Saturday 3pm away day in London making members sale , good chance for those who say they always miss out to get tickets
  12. Good to see some early planning put in place for the final, someone send these to Nathan Jones
  13. I've booked trains with Lumo, they don't appear to be listed on the companies impacted so fingers crossed. At least we get up there ok for the game, worry about getting home later.
  14. Leicester took a similar allocation for the 1/4 final but after slow initial sales returned half the tickets, would expect something similar but they should make clear to fans when that decision will be made. Newcastle then sold Leicester returned tickets to their own fans.
  15. Away tickets , big allocation, I notice the sales windows before first leg, they'll probably reduce allocation if not many sold before then https://www.southamptonfc.com/matches/2022-23/efl-cup/newcastle-vs-saints-2023-01-31/ticket-info
  16. At least we're making some effort to make it a bit tougher , better than nothing. Not convinced we'll sell out anyway, Tuesday night in January before pay day I'm sure money is tight for many , bottom of the league, game on sky even though its a semi only first leg so only see up to "half time"
  17. Apparently it's our 4th cup semi final in 7 years, hadn't thought of that but shows as a club we've been doing quite well in the cups, about time we won a bit of silverware
  18. My thoughts exactly, 1-1 draw prediction which is still a decent result

Until the next defeat , guarantee we'll end up back on same discussions

Blimey I knew we were in the minority but that's a landslide. I voted no partly as thought Jones deserved a chance and also thought it unlikely we'd get a better replacement anyway
  21. Villa one of the form sides in the division, definitely tough game. Won 4 of their last 6 league games I think.
  22. Definitely, it's been lacking for a while. Lavia back has been huge for our change in form, not only is he a very good player but he's released Ward Prowse to play further forward and he's now having a big impact on games , we know our strikers are not prolific so rely on goals from midfield as well
  23. Liverpool and Chelsea struggling does remind me of 2016, some teams could take advantage and get an unlikely European spot. Not on the same scale as Leicester but if Arsenal win the league would still be a shock in my opinion
  24. Was just thinking the same, is it because he hasn't had his hearing yet? In which case get a move on and do it before we play them twice

I think when he heard the manager of Havant and Waterlooville was slagging him off he must have thought fuck this I'm going to prove a few people wrong , let's hope he does. I think it's a shame fans gone on his back so quickly, he'll always remember that
