Who would take relegation and winning this cup?
-
Interesting you say that, this was from two months ago https://www.hampshirelive.news/sport/football/football-news/tino-livramento-southampton-injury-update-7577650 And I've heard he's making good progress behind the scenes. Always possible to have a set back. KWP odd one, didn't seem that bad at Bournemouth they even thought it might be cramp initially , back by Christmas should be possible
-
AMN hopefully won't be needed at right back in 6 weeks time, KWP and Livramento expected to be out even longer than that?
-
Missed some really good chances
-
Walcott to the rescue 😂
-
I'm sure he will and a season in the championship might help him get there, shame it has to be with us
-
Liverpool not even out of 2nd gear, ideal game for their world Cup players complete lack of intensity
-
Cameraman showing more of Jurgen Plopp in the stands than the game
-
Defence so easy to cut through, completely unorganised, can't get away with that at this level
-
Lavia not match fit is he , can't keep up with the game
-
League one goalkeeper
-
Leeds recent win there was due to their keeper having a man of the match performance, is Bazunu ready to do that for us?
-
As fate would have it we'll be wearing blue as well tomorrow, right at the end Adams flicks it, Adam Armstrong running through on goal.............
-
Agree mate, I think he'll give us a bit more backbone as well, been too nice as a club for ages need to upset a few teams for once.
-
Wood from Newcastle would be good for us I think
-
I've noticed teams are starting to announce friendlies for December before the restart, any news on Saints plans? https://www.fulhamfc.com/news/2022/november/08/west-ham-friendly-announced/

Do you want Nathan Jones to Manage Southampton Football Club?
JRM replied to Rivers's topic in The Saints
It's his wife's great grandfather https://www.saintsplayers.co.uk/player/george-woodford/ -
I wonder if he's read Ralph's playbook ? That was our Bible previously, maybe Jones will just add his own chapter rather than changing too much https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-9075691/Ralph-Hasenhuttls-Southampton-Playbook-inspired-super-start-season.html

Also Walcott, I've seen his missed chances again in the highlights, has he got the weakest shot in professional football? Plays like he's wearing slippers
-
Probably fair enough if you look how we struggled against Sheffield Wednesday (but then they also just lost away at Chippenham Town so yeah bit of a cheek 🙄)
-
Historically he's not had much of a squad outside his first XI though. In this case - First game in 6 weeks no need to rest players , possibly also have KWP and Livramento back by then plus not many players at world Cup. - First home game for new manager will want to start with a win build some confidence - few days before Christmas wants to make sure he gets his fair share of roast spuds at his Saints supporting inlaws a few days later won't want to upset them with a cup defeat. Get into the 1/4s and see who we get, might as well make a go of it once you get that far.

Home game after a 6 week break, can act as a pre season for the manager , chance to give players proper run out and get through, few days before Christmas, school holidays etc should get a decent crowd in.
-
Remember it well somehow let in more people than seats , struggled in the game was lucky to get a replay , good draw good to have a cup run give the club a lift
-
You just know it will be Man City v Gillingham and Liverpool v Lincoln
