Pretty sure he didn’t stick to the game plan. Hit too many crosses, and lost possession too much. Give it some time and he will probably start recycling the ball more with less crossing and forward play, which runs the risk of turning over possession. Personally I think he was one of our best players.

Nice find, cheers! However, I do not think it is likely that there would be a new contract now, from both parties (7 months atfter the last one). Probably happen when he has established his role and importance in the first team a little more in the PL. That will also give him a significant wage hike. Hopefully that will happen during this season!

Slaves of the algorithm. 90-minute football games will die with our generation if we continue to abide 😄😉 Anyway, since I have a healty attention span I search out the longer version of the clips. Make sure you are on the "all" feed on the app. Do not wander on to the "men's team" feed, as it mostly has the short ones. There you will allways find both the long and the short version.

At the time I "feared" he was our option if we did not get Downes, but good call - Yeah, I agree, something like that.

What we need is a player that can play alongside Downes (as an 8), but also could cover for him. No point buying a backup.
