He didn't care. If i wanted to relegate a club i would select a defence of Delap, Bernard, Jakcobsen(sp) and Davenport. I would drop creative players Fernandes and Anders and play Telfer in midfield. I would drop Kevin Phillips for our last home game when we needed to beat Manure. I would get Kevin Bond to organise defensive training to ensure we conceded lots of late goals. To ensure a 4-0 defeat on national tv in the 6th round of the cup i would play a weakened team. I would play the youth team at Mansfield and select Delap as captain to ensure our exit from the league cup. I would slag off my players to the media and drop the club captain Dodd who have experienced lots of relegation battles and play Delap at right back.

It was not meant as an insult to you personally. Just find it sad that people are taken in by 'Dave' and his 'Big Society' spill. Maybe it's because i work as a care professional and am old enough to have witnessed what the previous Tory government did to people and this country.

Fair point but i'm not saying sign him for 1M. He would certainly be a better option than Wotton and James in central midfield and possibly a better option than Morgan or Hammond during the long season thinking about it. We need experience as well if we are to pick up more points in some away games next season.

Do all players get written off aged 32 now? Maybe Pardew might use him to help us get out of this league first rather than thinking about challenging for the Premier league in a year or two.
