FFS we've scored so great - but we still look like the weaker side against 10 men. Jesus, take control.
-
Hmmm 4-2-2-2. Against 10 men. Where's these lightning quick breaks when we win possession?
-
Nice one VAR always said it was perfect for football. In other news we look really, really sh!t.
-
Dirty dirty b'stard. Knew exactly what he was doing there.

Haha avoidance of awkwardness does have it's price but I wouldn't go as far as paying for someone else's fuel. If someone short changes me by 10p and I only realise as I'm walking out I wouldn't bother going back to complain as by that point the 10p has become a fee worth paying to avoid the awkwardness. Not sure where the threshold lies in that situation. Maybe £1.00 but I'd probably detect that amount at source.

None of that tallies with the likes of brmbrm above wanting tickets, being on database, but being turned down.

Buying something at a petrol station, (packet of crisps, chocolate bar whatever) when you haven't bought any petrol, making it clear you haven't bought any petrol by pointedly saying "just this, thanks" and being asked "any fuel?".

It's disgusting. Lying, then admitting it once aim achieved. The best you can hope for from a politician these days is to be honest and useless. Dishonest and useless is the standard though.

To be fair (and I speak as someone who just wished none of this had ever happened, and we we just remained as the feck we were) Osbourne quite clearly said there would need to be an emergency budget if we voted out. We did. There wasn’t any need. On the flip side I genuinely think the equally disingenuous £350m a week or whatever it was being poured immediately into the NHS is what tipped the balance in favour of leave. Conclusion - the people charged with running our country are a bunch of self-serving, untrustworthy, lying c.u.n.t.s
-
The grammatically incorrect and seemingly increasingly common insertion of the word “what” into sentences that have worked perfectly well for centuries without it. “Like what we have” “Like what they did”. NO! “Like we have” “Like they did” FFS.
-
A fair enough clarification. Regardless of priorities though it's just a relief to see him look better and do more in 20 odd minutes than Elyounoussi (sp) in the whole of last season.
-
That is a really good question. I mean, like, really good. Why sign any player if he is not going to immediately go into and improve the starting XI?
-
Not really.
-
We've done ****ing well so far against one of the best teams in the world. No doubt their midweek game is a factor but even so we've done well.
-
Superb goal. £35 Million for him
-
Terrible decision. Absolutely ridiculous.
-
How about one with a religious flavour? Danso wherever we may be Kev's in the centre of defence you see And he'll win the ball wherever it may be And we are the Saints and we hate Pompey
-
Of all the players to pick out for criticism today, he'd be the last I would have chosen. Still work in progress but shows real quality at times and did nothing wrong that I can readily think of. Ings would be my pick today, a complete non-entity. No more effective than Austin was last season.

Precast or readymix? Either way we should take it.
-
Sorry but he has been dreadful. Truly dreadful.
-
Pahars was on his list. I liked Pahars but one of the best players in world football is stretching it a bit.

Callum Slattery - Official: Signs for Motherwell
stknowle replied to SuperSAINT's topic in The Saints
Agreed. Better gauge is tape measure head to toe then round waist. If head-toe measure goes round waist twice you’re all good. I was dismayed to discover mine barely made it round once (and I’m 6 foot 6). -
Good summary of our position. I don’t think we’ll be seeing any more significant signings until and unless we can sell someone for half decent money - Lemina/Boufal/McCarthy our best hopes there - so we can afford a new CB and let at least one of the failures go. If not we make do with what we have for another season. Not the best place to be, but we’ll probably be ok and better that than bloat the squad further with players we can’t afford.

Clasie was nowhere near as bad as Elyounousi has been. Nowhere feckin’ near. He was still cr@p though.

Top 6, Everton, Leicester, Wham. All will have failed massively if they finish below us next season. 10th is the new 7th. If we achieve that we'll have had a great season.
