  1. Top 6, Everton, Leicester, Wham. All will have failed massively if they finish below us next season. 10th is the new 7th. If we achieve that we'll have had a great season.
  2. Not completely beyond the bounds of possibility. He has shown certain attributes, actually looks quite cultured at times. A good manager should be able to improve him.
  3. Audience member with Elyounoussi shirt = club plant.
  4. Agreed. Hands down the worst player I've seen 'perform' for us since we came back up. That would be bad enough if he was free, but we paid circa £15m for this goon.
  5. Surly waiting staff.
  6. It works well in cricket because it is such a slow game, and the appeal is limited to what happened between ball leaving bowler’s hand and the subsequent catch or lbw. Agree with limiting reviews to a number of appeals but in reality that is just going to mean the first 2 goals and or penalties will be appealed and logically everything that happened between ball entering play and goal has to be examined. So if if a player on the conceding side has their shirt tugged in a midfield tussle leading up to the goal it should be disallowed. Fuxsake are we going to end up with “snicking” technology in everyone’s boots and the ball to detect if there was ball contact before foul? It’s incompatible with the pace of the game and will only work if used for picking up totally glaring mistakes which can be communicated to the ref in an instant. Even then it should be strictly limited to goals, pens and offsides leading to goals. Living with the human errors of officials is by far a lesser evil than minutes of forensic examination which ruin the game and still don’t guarantee the correct feckin’ decision.
  7. Ooh it’s a corner. Hold on a minute they’re reviewing it.
  8. Going for a s**t in the toilets at work without first checking that there is paper in the dispenser and subsequently discovering that there isn't.
  9. That's the one. And yes, Stig was Dump.
  10. If it's the same game I'm thinking of Andy Williams was unleashed on an unsuspecting public that day along with some Scandinavian 'striker' who played about 8 games for us and never scored. We lost 0 1, Nathan Blake scored for them.
  11. Almeida got turned inside out by Henry, think it was Henry's first ever goal for Arsenal.
  12. Some new signings don’t work out no matter how patient you are and how long you wait. I’ll give it 1 season but remain extremely sceptical.
  13. Fair enough Whitey.

    Che Adams

    It’s a joke.
  15. For me the best aspect of this fantastic new system will be analysis of foot/sideline juxtaposition at throw ins. A bit like cricket where the first thing they check after a wicket is bowler’s foot position. Any passage of play that ends with a goal and starts with a throw in, no matter how long the gap between those 2 events, should be examined for foul play starting with a check on the throw in taker’s foot position at the point of ball release and if that big toe is even fractionally over the line then the goal should quite rightly be chalked off. This stuff’s been going on for too long and it has to be stamped out.
  16. While we’re on stupendously ****e wingers - Neil McCann
  17. It was supposed to be brought in for clear and obvious errors/oversights. Watford handball equaliser in Pellegrino's season. If it cancels sh!t like that out then great. A VAR official watching that in real time/replay picks it up immediately alerts ref. Quick conversation. Goal cancelled. It is being used to microscopically examine marginal offsides taking minutes to do so (England Holland; Us Derby) leaving a celebrating set of fans in limbo not knowing if they are about to be let down and an opposite set of fans with the opposite feeling. Its **** and it will ruin/already is ruining the game if its used like this. If you have to look at it more than once its not clear and obvious. Leave it, move on. Goal. On the flip side where it is clear and obvious (Gabbiadini in the final) it's CLEAR AND OBVIOUS therefore easily picked up and goal stands. Don't examine the evidence 20 fecking times playing it back and forth to conclude that the scorer's big toenail looked fractionally offside from one of the angles so no goal and let's restart the game with a ****ing free kick 5 minutes after the 'goal' was scored and forget the fact we've destroyed all rhythm, spontaneity and ultimately enjoyment of the game.

    Che Adams

    Exactly my point.

    Che Adams

His goals to scuffs record is beyond comparison.
  20. Use of the phrase “made a boo boo” in lieu of “made a mistake”
  21. The top 6 plus Everton and probably now Newcastle are in another stratosphere in terms of spending power. Leicester, Palace, Bournemouth, West Ham have all shown a willingness and ability to outspend us over the last few seasons. Wolves spent circa £30M on Jimenez. So we are basically left with Brighton, Burnley, Watford and the promoted teams as financial peers. Its not ALL about finance but it is highly likely/inevitable that we are going to get squeezed out at some point sadly.
  22. ******s who wipe bogies on toilet doors/walls, leaving them smeared there like some kind of trophy. What kind of a cnt does that?
  23. ...
  24. ****ing user unfriendly toilet roll dispensers in restaurants/pubs/public/office toilets.
