We’ve been literally a lot worse - not that long ago we got relegated to League 1 don’t forget - but in terms of how out of our depth we are for the league we are trying to operate in things have never been worse. Over the years I’ve got less bothered about how we perform and how we eventually end up. When we went down the season before last it was like ‘oh well, it is what it is’ whereas in 2005 I was utterly gutted. I would take going down again with a similar effort and points total as either of those 2 seasons with a Gallic shrug of the shoulders but the difference this time is the very real spectre that under this Manager’s ‘stewardship’ we are going to go down with a humiliating, record low, single digit points total, establish ourselves as a permanent laughing stock and I really, really don’t want that to happen.

Haha my main takeaway from tonight was what a consistent plum the mystery co-commentator was. At least it took my mind off the footy 😁

He was offside and backed into the keeper. He was out the way by the time the header came in but he has to be interfering with play and was offside when he did it. If he hadn’t touched the keeper I would agree with letting it go. Prepared to bet a LOT of money that if the roles were reversed that goal would’ve been chalked off.

Oh I couldn’t agree more that it’s depressing! TBH it’s an outside shot but we aren’t adrift (yet) and there is a some quality (Fernandes and Dibling I think could really turn into a handful to play against) for a good manager to work with and give us some kind of fighting chance of staying up. Highly unlikely but not totally impossible. With RM we’re going down and doing it in spectacular fashion.

My main worry is that Derby record and the laughing stock it makes us if we beat it. If we stick with him we’ll beat it. If we don’t we might not. It’s that simple.
