I think a lot of people are missing the point here. Everton complained about him when he was sucking Gerrard off in a match and mysteriously never had him for 6 years. If we mysteriously get the same outcome, then it will have been worth it. I reckon our refs are the worst collection in living memory. Time to fast-track ex-players to the Premier League. Our present policemen and builders just aren't up to the job.

The powers that be prefer the human element to refereeing, and accept the mistakes that go with it. FIFA for example, wouldn't be able to influence refs against us if technology made all the correct decisions. England have been on the receiving end of some horrendous decisions in World Cup Finals and Blatter and his cronies are all as bent as a nine bob note.

If the terracing was like the terracing in the Bundesliga, I wouldn't have a problem. Seems safe as everyone has an allotted seat/space, so overcrowding shouldn't be a problem. If it's just a ploy to increase ground capacities by ripping seats out and packing out the terraces I would be against it.

Bit harsh on Hughton. Signed Leroy Fer who is superb, Hooper is in the goals, Redmond looks quality.
